Genuine though, UFC 200 was supposed to be the biggest card akin to how they're selling this one and it was headlined by Tate Nunes with random fights like Cormier Silva and Lesnar Hunt (the latter of which was a roid sham). Granted the original cormier jones fell through but there's no reason to believe that the UFC will deliver, rather I expect them to make nonsensical "big name" match ups that no one except the guy who occasionally watches Mcgregor or Diaz fights enjoys. The undercard will be stacked no doubt, but the top billing is likely gonna be some boring fight like Belal Leon with a Mcgregor return fight to get people interested in co-main.

If Belal vs Leon is the main event over Conor McGregor. Dana and the matchmaking should be fired for being inept at their jobs. It be the ****est business decision ever

is there any official confirmation now that USADA and UFC are no longer in business regarding any important changes that will be implemented? 

if the 6 months thing is still in place that in itself eliminates a lot of the fighters whose possible comebacks are being speculated for this card

This card needs Aspinal vs Jones(or McGregor but  he’s book for June or July) if they want to put Belal vs Leon on it. UFC 300 isn’t going to sell well if UFC put fights people don’t want to see on the main card, unless they have the big main event. 

At the end of the day. 300 is just a number, If UFC want this card to be big, they need to make it big

I mean for sure it's basically a PR thing but they've been banging the drum about it for a while and it seems like they might've shot themselves in the foot now... if Belal and Leon are really fighting on this card, wouldn't it made more sense to have that fight on 299 and O'Malley on 300 for the wider audience? I'm not even talking main event... Belal would do what he's told, poor Leon still thinks that there's a chance that they will do a Birmingham card if he takes this Leon fight...

No way Jones will be ready for UFC 300. And he's not stupid: if he's not 100% ready, he won't take a fight.

Okay so my opinion on this might change in the next 3 months, but the way I'm thinking about this fight is Leon needs to win it inside the first like 2-3 rounds, otherwise I think Belal has the style and cardio that can take him from rounds 3-5 and give him a 10-9, and depending on Leon's cardio, he could even find a finish somewhere late in the 4th or 5th. But that's only if Belal can survive the first two rounds and then start wrestling Leon. I feel like if Leon can defend the takedowns and make the fight stand-up only, I feel he finishes Belal inside the first two rounds easy, I think Belal will fall victim to the 1-2 headkick combo, I just don't think he's faced enough high-level strikers yet. But if Belal can survive without taking much damage, make the fight boring as possible, but don't get damaged, he has a solid chance at winning this, I just think his pace will end up being too much, especially if Leon is somehow swinging at air. But I feel like Usman x2 and now Colby back to back to back has given Edwards enough experience on how to deal with wrestlers, I think to dethrone him someone will have to school him in the stand-up.

The discourse I've been seeing around Edwards/Belal II on Twitter and whatnot is pretty much why I have such a hatred for "MMA fans." It's like the UFC has done such a poor job booking title fights with actual merit that it's not even what people want anymore. I've seen people saying they hope Belal pulls out and we get Leon vs. ******* Masvidal. That's insane! 

Muhammad is not the most spectacular fighter in the world, but he is so clearly the most deserving contender it's not even close. We've sat through so much drivel. So many subpar title fights featuring contenders who aren't even worthy of a Top 10 spot. I'm over it. Bring some integrity back to the sport ffs. If not to the sport as a whole, at the very least title fights. They're at the point where they mean nothing. Fighters aren't even chasing titles anymore. Because it's become a popularity contest and rarely about actually putting the best against the best. Other organizations still treat their titles with respect. The UFC hasn't in what feels like years. More times than not the title fights we get are not the title fights we should be getting.

I'd accept Leon vs. Shavkat, but Leon vs. Belal is the correct title fight to make and I'm excited they've booked a title fight where the clear #1 contender is getting his title shot. That pretty much never happens these days. Leon is going from a shlub who isn't worthy of being a Top 15 fighter to the ACTUAL #1 contender in the division. Believe it or not that's a pretty great thing.

Don’t get why you get such hated for MMA fan for not liking Belal, despite being talented and been deserving of the title for a while now , He also boring to watch  I’m never going to blame fans for not wanting to watch something boring. People want to be entertain plain and simple and if they fail to do that, people ain’t going to watch it
