Font vs. Yanez?

Predictions: 5 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 315 Points   |   Tied for 4104th

The Yanez vs Font fight is hard to read on. I think the UFC is really trying to setup Yanez to be in the top 10, but Font definitely could box his way to a victory based on experience. Yanez got pop to his punches tho and wrap around the guard well, and Font's chin seems to be failing him at this point of his career. I am hesitantly picking Yanez by TKO, but it could easily be 30-27 shutout for Font.

A lot of 50/50 fights on this card that might go the way of the underdog.

Font Vs. Yanez

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 480 Points   |   Tied for 939th

Is Yanez really the guy to put Font's lights out??? Let's be real, Font has fought some killers and was able to take all of that damage from Chito in his last fight for 5 rounds. Y'all really think that Yanez will be the first to knock out Font in only 3 rounds?

I really have a hard time seeing Yanez knocking out Font

I dont see Font being finished but Font could steal a split if he shows up and has the performance of his life, it will have to be of his life cause Yanez is too primed and ready, he is very legit

Ogden vs. Bahamondes
Ignacio Bahamondes, DEC
Originally going to have Bahamondes finish Motta given Motta's kill or be killed approach. Ogden is the antithesis in terms of style. I can see Ogden having early success with the grappling but if he doesn't use it to get the finish, it will be a long night for him. Ignacio is tall for the division with a wiry frame might give Ogden fits. I can see Ogden using his grappling to keep him in the rounds. Overall, Bahamondes should have the more impactful moments to secure a decision win.

"What an excellent day for combat."

Predictions: 6 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 2094th

Pereira vs. Adesanya II
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
Pereira is the demon that Adesanya will never be able to conquer. It is written

Burns vs. Masvidal
Gilbert Burns, DEC
Jorge would win this in his prime, but he's nearly 40. It's not 2019 anymore.

Font vs. Yanez
Adrian Yanez, DEC
Font's taken too much damage as oof lately. Pure bias pick, go Adrian!

Holland vs. Ponzinibbio
Kevin Holland, TKO, R2
A version of Ponzinibbio that nearly lost to Morono won't beat Holland, slumping or not. If Holland wins, he will be one of the UFC's most bizarre stars of the past.

Rosas Jr. vs. Rodriguez
Christian Rodriguez, DEC
Rosas is good but he isn't the wonderkid you all think he is. CeeRod is a proven product.

Gastelum vs. Curtis
Chris Curtis, DEC
Almost two years off for Gastelum? Man, Curtis has his flaws but this spells trouble. I'm leading towards thinking that this is going to be Gastelum's last UFC fight.

Waterson-Gomez vs. Pinheiro
Luana Pinheiro, DEC
Who cares, honestly

Meerschaert vs. Pyfer
Gerald Meerschaert, SUB, R2
Pyfer's first test. I don't exactly rate him, so I'm taking the proven product in GM3, he brings a wrinkle to the game that Pyfer hasn't faced.

Williams vs. Sherman
Karl Williams, DEC
Williams surprised me against Brzeski. Sherman is a step-down, this is a wash.

Calvillo vs. Godinez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
Look at Calvillo coming back down to 1115. It's over, let it go Cynthia.

Ogden vs. Bahamondes
Ignacio Bahamondes, TKO, R2
Bahamondes is an action star. Ogden won't be able to weather the storm.

Garcia vs. Nuerdanbieke
Shayilan Nuerdanbieke, DEC
Don't rate Garcia at all. Shayilan is at least a middling talent.

Hughes vs. Amorim
Jaqueline Amorim, SUB, R1
So excited to see Amorim get a step-up in competition. She's a prodigious talent and this fight will tell me a lot about her true ceiling.

Pereira vs. Adesanya II
Alex Pereira, TKO, R3
Poatan has Izzy’s number

Burns vs. Masvidal
Jorge Masvidal, DEC
Feel like Street Judas could grease out a decision in his home city here

Font vs. Yanez
Rob Font, DEC
Font shows yanez levels to the division here

Holland vs. Ponzinibbio
Kevin Holland, SUB, R2
Holland club n sub

Rosas Jr. vs. Rodriguez
Christian Rodriguez, DEC
If Rodriguez makes it out of the 1st round should be very interesting, Rodriguez impressed me in the Pearce fight tho

Gastelum vs. Curtis
Kelvin Gastelum, DEC
Big Curtis fan but he gives minutes of fights away and I think it’ll be his down fall here

Waterson-Gomez vs. Pinheiro
Michelle Waterson-Gomez, DEC
Could never pick Pinheiro after that Oscar performance against Markos

Meerschaert vs. Pyfer
Gerald Meerschaert, SUB, R3
Not completely sold on Pyfer yet

Williams vs. Sherman
Karl Williams, TKO, R2
Sherman might have a bit of success on the feet but once it gets to the ground I think Williams smashes him with g n p

Calvillo vs. Godinez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
This one probably gets cancelled due to weight cut issues on the Calvillo side lol

Ogden vs. Bahamondes
Ignacio Bahamondes, SUB, R2
Logical move would be Bahamondes by ko/tko, but I feel like he could snatch a neck after rocking Ogden

Garcia vs. Nuerdanbieke
Steve Garcia, DEC
If Garcia survives the 1st round I think he’ll have the cardio advantage and edge out a decision

Hughes vs. Amorim
Jaqueline Amorim, SUB, R1
Hughes might get a couple td’s but I see her getting subbed at some point

Rob Font got almost knocked out in round 2 almost knocked out in round 3 then almost knocked out in round 4 vs Chito. He still threw 107 strikes in rd 5 almost 2to1 in output to Chito with 520 strikes in total thrown across the 5. That's just insanity. Is there a fighter in the BW division that can match his pace?
It's a shame he's had durability issues. He is the minute winner even against the most elite competition. Yanez is a slow starter and got pieced up early by both Costa and Grant.
I don't think it would be a good idea for Yanez to take round 1 off against Font and then have to win the last 2 or get a stoppage. Not if you're gonna be a -185 favorite.
