Shore is the absolute worst opponent for Makwan because Amirkhani won’t be able to implement his game plan. Ricky Simone takes evvverybody down, yet against Shore it was the most arduous task ever in round 1.
Amirkhani puts that much effort in 1 round he’ll be completely gassed before round 2 even starts

Maia is a solid gatekeeper, and Morales could put Duncan out

I'm not a fan of betting first rounder gaser like Makwan and McKinney against anyone good, I just think it real difficult to win a fight in 3 minutes, Being a 2nd or third round gasser, You have either more time to get a finishes or even win a decsion, I strongly doubt Shore get finish instently so Makwan is gonna gas and loses

I don't mind Morales dog money, Not a duncan fan and I think Morales will win, but I think O'Neil is the next gen flyweight with Blanchfield so I think she beat the older gatekeeper, And they're a reason Mokeav a -700  favourite.

Omar Morales should win this.

Didn't Mokaev had a shoulder injury at the end of 2022 ? I think it's too soon for him to come back.

Mokaev had shoulder surgery in late Dec. if I am not mistaken. This reason, Filho being a decent fighter + odds being deep as usual is refraining me from parlaying him on anything big

I'm thinking the same thing, sir. Filho is a good fighter, so he should impose some problems for Mokaev in this fight. I'll probably play him on a parlay with Fiziev or CLD.

My only issue with filho is he is a bjj guy and is more than content to play off his back. If he gets on top, mokaev could be screwed. However, I have to pick him because of the style matchup. Not confident tho because his striking is bad, he will overexert his gas tank at times, and his shoulder is definitely not 100%

Edwards x Usman

Predictions: 9 of 15 Winners, 3 Perfect, 580 Points   |   Tied for 1888th

I was watching Edwards x Usman 2 and I'm really confident that Edwards will win this next fight.

He did great in the first defending the takedowns and also taking Usman down + the sub attempt.

In the second, he got his foot trapped in the cage, then Usman used it in his favor and landed some good shots, but then Edwards recomposed himself and did great on the feet until he tried a double leg on Usman (big mistake). Watching live, I remember I thought Edwards easily lost the second, but watching it again he made it competitive though. Usman won the second cause of the takedown and I think he managed to land the best shots (mainly the body shots).

In the third, I think it was when Edwards was really gassed out. Not only because of the altitude but also because Usman landed a lot of body shots in the second. We can see that Edwards was that tired at the 03:58 mark. Usman shoots for a single and Leon seems like he has delayed answering the attack, which makes the attempt successful for Usman. Even after that, Leon was able to make up back to his feet but didn't do much, while Kamaru was able to keep him against the cage, landing some gnp to win the round.

In the fourth, Leon wasted too much energy trying to take Usman down. After that, Usman took him down and landed some good gnp, but didn't manage to keep him there (of course, we gotta take into consideration that Edwards grabbed the fence at the 00:46 mark).

So, that's why I think Leon can do better this time. He can win at least 3 rounds if the altitude really has affected him that much in their second fight.

Thanks for the info, mate! Yeah, I'll play Filho on a small parlay, just because I think Mokaev is not 100% ready, but he could easily dominate Filho with his suffocating wrestling style.

Usman also fence grabbed repeatedly and got away with it and Edwards tried and got put on his back by Herb.
Weird seemingly favoritism based reffing but OOZE is probably just better at not getting caught by ref.
The second round was pivotal and excuses can be found but Edwards cardio was below par at best.
I've been at altitude it has an effect but its not like they were fighting on Everest.
