I don't think they'll give him the "deep end of the pool" just because he finished Pickett. The UFC probably gives him another 2 fights or so against low level opponents.

I mentioned I trained at Derek Brunson’s gym briefly. Well, just twenty minutes from that gym is Port City Performance, the gym Jamie trains at. I went back and forth between both of them for curiosity’s sake and to feel like a badass doing two training camps (don’t do that by the way I got burned out after two weeks) but while I was training there I noticed Jamie Pickett was rarely ever at the gym. Like, at all. Not like he had an injury or family matters, he just wouldn’t show up. This was before his fight with Denis Tiuluian btw.

So if you ever wonder why Jamie makes such obvious strategical mistakes in his fights, it’s likely cause he doesn’t ******* train
