Trevin had a solid minute of the last round to right every wrong during the fight! He failed to capitalise it in every sense of the aspect! Couldn't be happier for Cody as he's one of my all time favourites, first time I've ever bet against my boi. Shamefully, I'm a certified snake and I want the maximum sentence! Love you Cody! 😢

gliese58i  What worries me for Cody is that he'll fight higher level guys again after this win. And everyone knows that Bantamweight is a shark tank right now. That doesn't bode very well for Cody. Especially if you're seeing what kind of talent are making their debut in this division, for example Farid Basharat just earlier tonight. I'm glad he won, but I honestly don't see him racking up wins against any of those guys.

Agreed but you never know. Arlovski was chinny and came back and had a great long career that is still going where he reinvented himself as a defensive fighter. Cody has less of a skill advatange of course because it's bantamweight but maybe he can mix in wrestling and clinching more, and avoid being in the pocket as much to cut down on the duration his chin is exposed.

I get Hollywood is a cesspool of regurgitated content, but a Roadhouse remaking starring Conor Mcgregor is literally destined to end up a 4% on Rotten Tomatoes

Win is win, it was important for Garbrandt to end the two loss skid. During the first round he did a good job with kicks to the body and punches to the body and show good reflexes. In the second round he showed good reflexes and defensive movement, intelligent use of his wrestling and on a knee coming out of the clinch he seemed to hurt Jones, but in the second half of the third round it seems that when he was hit in the face he forgot everything and went into emergency mode. Beyond Trevin Jones and the power of his hands and Cody's T/KO losses in recent years there is a serious issue at the level of lack of confidence and Gabrandt should consider, to know if he really wants to continue fighting. He was hit in the head by Thomas Almeida and he threw back and knocked him out, he did not show that attitude tonight when he was on the similar stage.

Arguably you could also put Askren, Hendricks and Lawal on this list.

Even Henry Cejudo, the best wrestler in MMA history, had some shaky results.
