Weeks actually has quite a bit of experience with over 20 amatuer fights in addition to his pro mma fights and 2( on record) boxing fights. Most fighters have very few if not skipping their amatuer fights all together so Weeks record is a bit deceiving.

Everytime Bryan gets a step up in competition he loses. He's 6-6 in the UFC.  If he loses , bye bye.

Well yeah but can we really call a guy who just fought a 3-4 guy at step up in competition? The amateur experience helps a ton but at the end of the day it’s amateurs. I will agree he looks skilled but there’s a reason this dude was gonna be on dwcs and not straight to the ufc.

I know he doesn’t always win but he was very close to beating luque before getting ko’ed and he’s also fought colby and leon. He’s by far the most experienced and toughest fighter weeks has fought in his entire career and only on 5 days notice

He had a life threatening health scare, did he not? I think the Barberena who nearly beat Luque is done. Absolutely terrible performance against one of the most limited fighters at WW in Jason Witt last time out, that Ivy win also aged like milk.

Might be time to fade Bryan against anyone that looks as promising as Darian tbh.

Had Morales in his Drako fight but Smolka is just the better fighter here. Think if Smolka gets him down after the 1st round it's SUB

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 4 Perfect, 525 Points   |   Tied for 539th

Font vs. Aldo
José Aldo, DEC
Aldo is a Technician, Font has to prove to me he can be the better technical fighter against a legend like Aldo. Garbrandt and Aldo are 2 completely different tests.

Fiziev vs. Riddell
Brad Riddell, DEC
Riddell's straight shots and footwork should be able to keep Fiziev missing with his hooks, but he can't stay in the pocket and bang with Fiziev, just not too sold on Fiziev. Close fight

Guida vs. Santos
Clay Guida, DEC
Guida will apply that pressure and fold Santos.

Crute vs. Hill
Jimmy Crute, SUB, R1
Can see Crute getting right after it with how that last fight went. Finish Hill early.

Barberena vs. Weeks
Bryan Barberena, TKO, R3
Weeks didn't excite me too much watching his film for DWCS. Feel Barberena will get him out late 5-0 is a tough ask against Barberena.

Pitolo vs. Todorović
Duško Todorović, DEC
Pitolo could win if he doesn't gas and I can see him having the heavier shots but I think Todorovic will put that pressure on Pitolo and fold him late.

Matthews vs. Wells
Jeremiah Wells, TKO, R1
Wells until the train is stopped! Matthews looked really good in the standup against Brady so excited to see where Wells standup is cause he will rag doll Matthew's on the ground.

Zhumagulov vs. Kape
Manel Kape, DEC
Really like Zhumagulov is a good pick especially due to Kape more so trying to find the KO rather than putting that striking pressure on his opponents. Zhumagulov could win be outgoing Kape in a hard fought DEC but still siding with Kape.

Martin vs. Vlismas
Cheyanne Vlismas, DEC
Vlismas due to the aggression and power, wouldn't be surprised if she loses tho close WMMA fight.

Menifield vs. Knight
Alonzo Menifield, DEC
Want to go Knight but feel Menifield is the safer option. Still 50/50 on this one.

Puelles vs. Gruetzemacher
Chris Gruetzemacher, DEC
Gruetzemacher by easy DEC win, Puelles will not be able to get Gruetzemacher to the ground and won't be able to stand with him, nothing Puelles throws will hurt Gruetzemacher.

Murzakanov vs. Vanderaa
Azamat Murzakanov, TKO, R1
I do not like a 1 month turn around after being KO'd. Was going 2nd round but going 1st round ko due to the quick turn around for Vanderaa.

Morono vs. Gall
Alex Morono, DEC
Morono is a veteran I can trust against a Mickey Gall just stay off the down and should be able to piece Gall up even tho Morono should be able to handle himself on the ground against Gall.

As far as Weeks is concerned, I think he’s a good fighter. But as someone previously said not all amateur experience is the same, some amateur leagues are the exact same as the pros, just you don’t get paid (see Dustin Poirier’s “amateur” career), but IMMAF isn’t like that, they have sub rules, no knees to the face (just like Iowa you ******* ninnies), and I’m most cases shin guards + head gear.

Alright , so my for sure locks are.. Smolka , Morono , Azamat , Cheyenne , Allen and Crute. Think I'll make that my major card and switch it up , maybe throw Darian and Wells on there.

I think Font, Crute, and Morono are the 3 locks of the card.

Surprised to see everyone on Aldo. I get he used to be great and all that, but he's not better than Font is right now. Aldo is quick, but Font is quicker. Aldo has good hands, but Font's hands are better. Aldo isn't throwing a lot of leg kicks anymore and Font is going to piece him up with that jab all night. I see Font getting a pretty 1 sided Decision here, mixing in some vicious combos and landing the jab over and over again. Font will be able to stay 1 step ahead of Aldo.

I think Crute goes to work with the wrestling almost immediately and shuts Hill down from the start. He's either gonna find an eventual Submission or win a boring dominant fight where he has about 12 minutes of control time hunting for the Submission.

Morono isn't that great of a fighter, but a solid enough veteran that I believe Gall will struggle badly to stop. I don't think Gall will be able to hold Morono down if he even gets him down. I see Morono winning a 1 sided Decision.

Morono is for sure a lock. He’s better than Mickey in every category. His striking is better and he’s also a second degree black belt, so if Mickey does get it to the ground he’s ****** regardless

I agree it was a terrible loss but don’t you think he’s performance could have been impacted by not fighting for a long time after his blood clot scare? Kinda like when ponzi came back from a three year layoff and got flattened by Li. Obviously barberena took less time off but still I don’t think he’s going to lose to a fight who has fought amateurs and fighters with losing records as a pro. I will say I am impressed by his skill set but this is a wild step up in competition

Predictions: 4 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 275 Points   |   Tied for 3107th

Font vs. Aldo
Rob Font, DEC
Lock Pick - I just like Rob Font. Not to win the belt. But he will get the next shot.

Crute vs. Hill
Jamahal Hill, TKO, R1
Crute is open to punches. If Hill stays standing. He'll outjab and eventually put out Jimmy Crute. Nothing impressive about what Jimmy has done so far. UFC threw him a bone and he **** the bed. He'll get KO'd and fall down the ladder.

Barberena vs. Weeks
Darian Weeks, TKO, R1
These short notice LFA KO artists have been on a roll.. Why not close out 2021 with another.

Pitolo vs. Todorović
Maki Pitolo, DEC
Upset Pick - Pitolo can mix in the wrestling and comes out fast in the first round. Dusko doesnt keep his hands up and he doesnt know how to wrestle.

Matthews vs. Wells
Jeremiah Wells, TKO, R2
Upset Pick - Wells to keep the fight standing. Will KO Matthews in the 1st or 2nd rnd.

Zhumagulov vs. Kape
Zhalgas Zhumagulov, DEC
Upset Pick - Zhalgas will move and mix in his wrestling/grappling

Martin vs. Vlismas
Cheyanne Vlismas, TKO, R1
Buys is a much better fighter.

Puelles vs. Gruetzemacher
Chris Gruetzemacher, TKO, R2
Gritz will keep it standing. Pressure Puelles and catch him.

Murzakanov vs. Vanderaa
Azamat Murzakanov, TKO, R1
Vanderaa is trash. Azamat will have many weapons. Will come in much lighter but should still have a good shot at knocking out Vanderaa

Smolka vs. Morales
Vince Morales, DEC
Upset Pick - If Morales can keep it standing, he has a chance.

Barberena isn't the best but Darian Weeks is a can crusher and this is a huge step up in competition for him on short notice. Bryan will eat a couple of shots and then he will show Weeks why there are levels to this.

Guy said Barberna will show him there's levels to it.. yeah levels that he ain't even on 🤣🤣🤣 if Darian gets a takedown. That's it. He also has better stand up. Younger , fresher fighter. He's taking this on a weeks notice , you think he's doing it just to lose? He's got a point to prove , especially after his DWCS event for cancelled because of Covid.
