It's a ****** redneck "joke" we've all heard from *******s 1000 times, maybe that's why.

Also maybe cause it's literally backwards and makes no damn sense in context.

Price vs. Pereira
Michel Pereira, DEC
Michel is a better mover, craftier, and more in control. Price is gonna be looking for openings that aren’t there. Michel will overwhelm him and it might be a more competitive version of the Zelim Imadaev fight.

Something unique about this Du Plessis vs Giles fight is that Du Plessis last 4 submission wins have come via guillotine choke and Giles only 2 losses have been submission via guillotine choke.

Every time that Giles has fought a fighter who has a majority of his wins by submission, he has lost to them by submission.  For example, Giles fought Gerald Meerschaert and Zak Cummings who both are great submission finishers, they both beat Giles by guillotine choke in the 3rd round.  I would rank Du Plessis as even more dangerous than Gerald and Zak because of his knockout ability as well.

I've got Du Plessis by Sub at +500.  Just not sure if it will be Round 2 or Round 3.

A sub especially a guillotine could for sure happen from du plessis. But personally I wouldn't read too much into regional results for UFC level. Personally I think it will go the distance. I see a lot of cappers saying oh look du plessis never went to decision, yeah at regional level and one UFC fight against Perez who got cut after like a 1-4 or 2-5 ufc stint (not sure on the numbers there but it's not good for sure). Giles will definitely be his toughest competition yet. But good luck with the sub prop it can definitely come through, I don't have a dog in the race for that fight.

@DCpredictions, you are absolutely right when you say that it could go to decision.  I have seen a common theme where these vicious Round 1 fighters from the regionals start going to decision in all or a majority of their fights the second they start their UFC career.  It is probably because of the higher level of competition.

I keep getting Du Plessis mixed up with Di Chirico.

Giles is a much more known quantity, but I feel like we can see his ceiling. I doubt he ever gets to a top ten ranking, or possibly stays not ranked at all. Du Plessis has more question marks, but his upsides seem so much higher I've got to favor him.

Zhalgas Zhumagulav v Jerome Rivera
Rivera, SUB, R2 Rivera just seems like the more well-rounded MA, so I'm riding him all the way to the belt!
Omari Ahmedov v Brad Tavares
Tavares, TKO, R1
I guess sometimes size matters.

Trevin Giles v Driscus Du Plessis
Giles, TKO, R3
Welcome to the U.S.A., Monsieur Circus.

Ryan Hall v Ilia Topuria
Hall, SUB, R1
Topuria plays in his own wheelhouse.  I hope he realizes that Hall can play in anyone's wheelhouse.

Niko Price v Michael Pereira
Price, TKO, R1
Price has ADHD for long fights.

Carlos Condit v Max Griffin
Condit, SUB, R3
Not confident about this one.  I think it will a battle of two, bloody corpses by the end, on the ground, and Condit will still have grappling.

Sean O'Malley v Kris Moutinho
O'Malley, TKO, R1
Was his opponent just invited for his hair?

Irene Aldana v Yana Kunitskaya
Aldana, DEC
Grappling up against the cage for like 99.9% of this one.  Why?

Tai Tuivasa v Greg Hardy
Tuivasa, TKO, R2
I see all Prince and no War when I look at Greg Hardy.  Where is that down-and-dirty hunger, Mr. Hardy?

Gilbert Burns v Stephen Thompson
Burns, SUB, R2
Methinks the hold man's TDD just can't hold up.

Dustin Poirier v Conor McGregor
Poirier, SUB, R2
Win won for the lebrechauns everywhere, McGregor!
