3 champions say after winning that they want to defend the title in Africa. I still don't understand why they say this. Is it a conspiracy? I do not believe in the UFC this cannot be

I'm sure fighters do throw fights occasionally. It stands to reason. It's probably an incredibly rare phenomenon however. That's a different deal from UFC handing out brown paper bags for fighters to take dives, which definitely isn't happening. They stack the deck and pull promotional shenanigans to try and lean in various fighters because they're in this thing to make money ultimately. But that's not the same deal as outright bribery.

It's pants-on-head ******** even from an economic perspective to think they'd even try by any means to set up fighters like Ngannou and Adesanya to win. That would only make sense if if they believed that there was an untapped whale market in Africa to be exploited. There is no first-world African economy. Conservatively 40% of Nigerians live in abject poverty. The exchange rate on the Naira is 0.0026 USD$. If they are trying to make guys like Francis and Izzy win it's because more people tune in to watch them fight in the states and Europe. It would have nothing to do with Africa.

14 Rand will buy you one USD$ and SA is the premier economy in the continent. Setting up a card anywhere in Africa would not only simply be an exercise in losing money but one also  risking major asset losses ( including human life) and PR disasters in the process, not just because nobody in Africa has any money, but because the time difference would screw with PPV and because Africa is for the most part a violent, lawless war-torn cesspit ruled over by terrorists cells and dictators which rise and fall with the seasons. What we refer to a Somalia doesn't even have a Federalized Government. If you were to pick up a map of Africa, shut your eyes, and randomly place a finger on it, you'd have a 90% chance of landing on a region which your Government would strongly advise you to not travel to for any reason whatsoever.

TLDR: Dude is insane.
