Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 12 Winners, 1 Perfect, 370 Points   |   Tied for 395th

Asakura vs. Horiguchi
Kai Asakura, TKO, R2
I'm going with Kai Asakura as I feel that he is a harder hitter than Kyoji Horiguchi so when those punches and kicks land they will hurt Horiguchi or at least slow him down.

Hamasaki vs. Yamamoto
Ayaka Hamasaki, SUB, R2
Ayaka Hamasaki is simply on another level compared to Miyuu Yamamoto.

Tokoro vs. Ota
Shinobu Ota, DEC
I don't know much about Shinobu Ota but the fact that Hideo Tokoro is 43 does concern me. He's had a great career though!

Minowa vs. Sudario
Tsuyoshi Sudario, DEC
I'm picking against Ikuhisa Minowa for the same reason I'm picking against Hideo Tokoro but I've got a lot of respect for him as 65-43-8 is an absolutely insane record! You have to be one tough son of a ***** to last that long in the fight game, hence why I don't see him getting KO'd here.

Sasaki vs. Takizawa
Kenta Takizawa, TKO, R2
Remember what I was saying earlier about Kai Asakura being a hard hitter? Well, he broke Ulka Sasaki's jaw and that was the last time we've seen Sasaki so I'm wondering if his chin will be the same after that. To be fair to Sasaki, he has taken his time to let himself recover properly so he has a chance and I'm not exactly 100% sold on Kenta Takizawa so he could win this if he's got the right mindset but that's a big if. I just don't like picking fighters who are coming back from a bad injury so I'll be going with Takizawa for this fight.

Hagiwara vs. Hiramoto
Ren Hiramoto, SUB, R2
This is a real 50/50 fight, it just depends on what type of fight we're gonna get. If it's a stand up striking match then Kyohei Hagiwara wins but he'll lose if it's a grappling chess match. Ren Hiramoto will take this to the ground if he's done even the slightest bit of research so I'll go with Hiramoto for the submission.

Cant wait to watch this one, Kai asakura will have a good claim to FOTY or at least International FOTY if he beats Horiguchi

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 455 Points   |   Tied for 334th

Asakura vs. Horiguchi
Kai Asakura, TKO, R2
Despite my pick, I hope Horiguchi wins and sets up a trilogy fight, I could watch these guys fight 20x and enjoy it every time.

Asakura vs. Yamasu
Mikuru Asakura, DEC
Yamasu said in an interview he knows he's a jobber being brought in to elevate Asakura after a loss and I think that's exactly how it's going to look when the fight happens.

Hamasaki vs. Yamamoto
Ayaka Hamasaki, SUB, R2
Hamasaki has beaten Jinh Yu Frey twice, as well as Kanna Asakura, and they're both better than Yamamoto. Unless Miyuu pulls something crazy to catch her off guard I think she's getting steamrolled here.

Motoya vs. Inoue
Naoki Inoue, DEC
Inoue looks better and better each fight, he is still early in his career and improving greatly. I think he will look dominant here

Aguon vs. Koike Erbst
Kleber Koike Erbst, SUB, R1
This fight won't be on the feet for more than 30 seconds

Tokoro vs. Ota
Shinobu Ota, DEC
Tokoro might pull off a sub but I doubt it. Either Ota wins a wide UD or finds a ground and pound finish.

Sasaki vs. Takizawa
Ulka Sasaki, SUB, R2
Rizin is really going all-out, these fights are incredible. Big opportunity for Takizawa here

Asakura vs. Shimizu
Kanna Asakura, DEC
This is too big of a step up for Shimizu

Nakahara vs. Kuramoto
Kazuma Kuramoto, TKO, R2
"ground punch"

Minowa vs. Sudario
Ikuhisa Minowa, SUB, R2
Minowaman slays a giant once again!

Mori vs. Takebayashi
Sakura Mori, SUB, R1
I'm guessing arm bar.

Damn, Rizin knows how to handle people who miss weight

MMAFighting: "Wednesday’s official weigh-in was not without its hiccups as Sakura Mori came in 1.7 kg. over the limit for her 51 kg.-bout with Eru Takebayashi. Sakura faces several penalties as she forfeits 50 percent of her purse and begins her fight with a red card, resulting in a 50 percent point deduction. Should she win the fight, the bout will be ruled a no-contest. Takebayashi is still eligible to earn a victory."

Thats how it should be, US commissions are way too lenient when it comes to weight misses

Ikuhisa Minowa VS Tsuyoshi Sudario (Legend VS Sumo Wrestler)

Predictions: 6 of 12 Winners, 1 Perfect, 370 Points   |   Tied for 395th

Ikuhisa Minowa DEC

I've changed my mind on this pick. Originally I went with Tsuyoshi Sudario for a decision as I felt that Ikuhisa Minowa was too good to be finished but too old to win but I've done a bit more research on Minowa and one thing that really strikes me about him is his heart and determination. I feel that this will play a key role in this fight and I don't think he'll KO Sudario because I don't think he's strong enough to but I can see him getting a decision win. I'm gonna be pissed if Sudario wins now!

I'm broke and usually priced out of PPV's but I've managed to find this:

https://www.live-now.com/en-int/page/sign-up?origin=livenow&id=326941

It's £17.99 ($24.54) for 15 fights (says 12 on Tap?)
