Very excited for the fight card. Betting the f****** house on Roundy after that BS at the weigh ins.

My biggest bet is Brandon Davis -150. Can't see how he screws this up.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 704th

Hermansson vs. Cannonier
Jack Hermansson, SUB, R3
I'm not completely sold on Cannonier yet, and I've been very impressed with Hermansson, maybe even over achieving from what we originally thought he'd do in the big show. Sure, Cannonier has nuclear bombs in his fists, that he's looking to detonate in your face and blow you away. But I still consider Cannonier untested at Middleweight. To beat a 39 yr old Dave Branch who's on the sauce, which is why he was suspended, then cut by the UFC. And then beating a 44 yr old, shell of a legend in Anderson Silva, eh ..... I'm not impressed. Of course, gotta watch the bombs, but I expect the Joker to get a takedown and its just academic from there.

Madsen vs. Belluardo
Mark O. Madsen, DEC
A 35 yr old, Olympic medalist, making his UFC debut, as well as his lightweight debut. Racked up 8 gimmes against bar room bums. Good deal for him, he's got another bum lined up for him..

Nelson vs. Burns
Gilbert Burns, DEC
Leaning heavy towards Burns. Gunnar has struggled in the past, against strong wrestlers, and/or better grapplers. Burns wrestling isn't great, but the ex BJJ World Champ's grappling is elite. Annnd he statistically throws a greater volume of strikes than Gunni...

St. Preux vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michał Oleksiejczuk, TKO, R2
Honestly speaking..... Is there anybody else on the UFC roster, that's more consistently, inconsistent? Started off with 4 straight wins to start UFC career before losing to Ryan Bader. Won 7/9 fights on way to a surprising interim title fight with Jon Jones, then lost 3 straight. Then he won 3 straight. Annnd now he's lost his last 3/4. And now he's a 36½ year old Light-Heavyweight who's finding it harder to rely solely on his athleticism that filled the holes in his rather basic offensive attack.

Oliveira vs. Dalby
Alex Oliveira, DEC
Nice to see Dalby make it back to the UFC. It's a feel good story about redemption. He had a rough go around for his 1st UFC stint that led to a battle with alcoholism. And how much blood was literally spilled in order for him to get back to the big show, can't help but feel for the guy. But whatta stiff return fight they've given him. Fight should be bonkers.

Amedovski vs. Phillips
Alen Amedovski, TKO, R2
Phillips is ******* trash. The White Mike Tyson. Comical. He's a bum. 21 wins, 19 by KO, most in R1... But he's still winless in 3 octagon visits. He has P-O-W-E-R.. But it's useless if you don't know how to use it. His technical striking.... Trash. His wrestling...... Trash. His ANYTHING related to a MMA game, other than throwing obnoxious haymakers and hoping to connect...... Is you guessed it, trash. Alen, screen with 21 less fights, has the more rounded game, annnd the quicker hands, that he'll use to beat Phillips to the punch, and send Phillips packing back to Wales.

Di Chirico vs. Muradov
Makhmud Muradov, TKO, R2
Makhmud Muradov is the ONLY MMA fighter promoted by moneybags Floyd Mayweather. But don't let that fool you. And don't get it twisted. Mach isn't your standard warm bodies, sacrificial lamb the UFC brings in for filler material. He legit belongs in the UFC. He's won I believe 11 straight, His last 15/16 fights. He's already fought 4x in 2019 alone!!! He's got great footwork, Great wrestling and takedowns, and his whole, all around game, I'd say is Above Average. He's an outstanding addition to the Middleweight Division.
