The fighters are weighed in and while Lee missed by a pound, we're still set for a quality Fight Night from Atlantic City.
Aspen Ladd also missed on the prelims, her second confirmed miss as a professional.
We lost the Bibulatov-Sasaki bout today due to a back pain flare-up from the Russian, so the card will proceed with 12 bouts.
Prelims should kick off on UFC Fight Pass around 7pm ET before switching to FS1 for the rest of the card at 8pm.
Enjoy!

Merab has been robbed twice now in the UFC, first losing a BS decision to Frankie Saenz when he set the bantamweight takedown record, now gets robbed by an incompetent athletic commission. Should be 2-0 in the UFC but is 0-2.

His legs were still kicking, but he when the bell rang and Simon let him go, he was out. If that had been the end of the 2nd round instead of the end of the 3rd, they wouldn't have let him out there to fight the 3rd.
Maybe he was still conscious right up until the bell rang. But if the round ends, and then you're laying there unconscious on the mat, you just lost the fight.

Wasn't the official ruling Simon R3 Tko (5:00).
I know it sounds strange but that's what it was announced as.

Jesus Christ that fight was amazing. Brought back memories of Edgar vs Griffin the way they were scrambling back and forth. 50Gs baby.
I can understand the refs decision, but that would've been an amazing decision win for Merab.

Matt Brown's take:
More
It’s like this: if he was out before the bell then the ref made a mistake (innocent and honest mistake) and if he was out after the bell then he already won (assuming he was up on cards)

Being choked out does not in any way constitute being knocked out, no matter what commissions say. That's how we've always dealt with choke-outs.

This is like watching two geriatrics scuffle on the floor of a pharmacy over the last box of discounted metamucil.

I like Matt Brown's take on it.
I suppose if they rule that he didn't lose consciousness until after the bell, it could be overturned. I'm not sure that's happening though.

@skelliher I don't agree with it being a Tko finish but I believe Tap will be the only site that scores it a submission. Interesting nonetheless.
