My Summary

Based mostly on wins and not on performance or should haves (i.e. controversial decisions). Kamaru Usman took a MW bout in November 2023 (rank 2). Solomon Renfro took a LW bout in April 2024 (rank 26). Rafael dos Anjos took a LW bout in March 2024 (rank 22). Sadibou Sy took a LHW bout in April 2024 (rank 16).

Edwards made his first title defense at UFC 286 against Kamaru Usman in a rubber match. He won their third fight by majority decision after five rounds. Edwards made his second title defense against Colby Covington at UFC 296. He dominated Covington for five rounds winning a unanimous decision.
