Alex Pereira, TKO, R1
Honestly, I was excepting a 100x better main event for this for 300. But we know what’s up with these guys. Poatan is a former KBer who beat Izzy who has Ngannou power with long arms. Hill is coming off of an injury but had a great performance vs. Glover. His takedown defense looked way better, though not perfect. He really showed off more kicks and knees. He might just be getting better. Hill would beat anyone else but Poatan’s power is just too good. Hill will get chinned.
Zhang vs. Yan
Weili Zhang, DEC
Yan is good, she has solid striking and takedown D but Zhang might have no weaknesses. Unless Yan pulls a Strickland, Zhang should easily 50-45 her.
Gaethje vs. Holloway
Justin Gaethje, TKO, R1
I love both these guys striking but Gaethje is just a whole new fighter since he lost to Oliveira.
Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan
Arman Tsarukyan, TKO, R1
What a fight man. Two very well rounded top contenders in maybe the most top-heavy divisions in the UFC. Olives has an incredible performance vs. Dariush. He was a little too willing to be on the bottom, but his power standing is nuts, and then Tsarukyan followed up Oliveira vs Dariush by destroying him with his stand up in under a minute. I have suffered from fading Charles in the past but Tsarukyan’s power is just too scary.
Nickal vs. Brundage
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
Is this a joke? Olympic wrestler with improving striking vs one of the dumbest UFC fighters ever? Don’t make me laugh.
Procházka vs. Rakić
Jiří Procházka, TKO, R1
Jiri is a beast and I do not regret picking him to beat Poatan at all. He keeps his hands low, and definitely gets tagged because of that, but his chin is also excellent. He has a great array of strikes, he has power, he uses kicks well, stayed active, can wrestle, and can get up from being taken down. The amount he gets hit is the main concern, because everything else is excellent, and I think he allows himself to take some damage because he knows he can dish it back. And Rakic fought a very tepid fight vs Santos, so Jiri will probably only dish. Rakic will get slept fast.
Kattar vs. Sterling
Aljamain Sterling, DEC
I hate Aljo and love Kattar but Calvin is just done. His power is just gone and he just gets outclassed by all the best standup fighters and on the ground. And then the injury did it for me. Aljo will either end this quickly or wrestle him for all 3 rounds.
Holm vs. Harrison
Kayla Harrison, DEC
I never thought the day would come, but Kayla Harrison is in the UFC and making her debut against one of the best to ever do it in Holly Holm. We already know what Kayla does, she does whatever it takes to get you to the mat and either armbar you or ground and pound you until the fight is stopped. She honestly reminds me a lot of Ronda and if Holm was still in her prime I’d probably pick her. I always liked Holm (maybe a little too much, I picked her to beat Nunes). She is technical and well rounded, but not particularly dangerous these days, which hurts her vs. the very best like Kayla.
