Short notice so rude bro, do you guys think junior has the skill, does he have the power?, these dudes only need one round anyway, its just a lil bit too tight.

Edit: Guess I'll ride with Steve here cause I feel it too, I feel a switcheroo.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 540 Points   |   Tied for 2633rd

Volkanovski vs. Topuria
Alexander Volkanovski, TKO, R3
I understand Topuria is 14-0 but these two guys have no common opponents in their last five fights. Four fights ago Topuria was fighting Ryan hall… talk about a huge step down in competition. I’m not sold on why the odds for this match up are this close other than Volk getting knocked out by Islam in his last fight. Still think the odds should be way bigger of a gap between the two. Volk takes care of business but it won’t be easy

Whittaker vs. Costa
Robert Whittaker, TKO, R3
Paulo coming off of a massive surgery, Robert should get it done here

Neal vs. Machado Garry
Ian Machado Garry, DEC
It’s very clear the ufc is still trying to feed Garry even after all the hate

Dvalishvili vs. Cejudo
Henry Cejudo, DEC
A 3 round fight is exactly what Cejudo needed, I think we’ll be surprised to see how well he performs.

Hernandez vs. Kopylov
Anthony Hernandez, DEC
Both have faced similar levels of competition but Hernandez got that dog in him.

Lemos vs. Dern
Mackenzie Dern, SUB, R2
Dern continues to disappoint but can’t pick against her

Rogério de Lima vs. Tafa
Marcos Rogério de Lima, TKO, R2
Both of these guys are awful, lima is just more equipped to win via leg kicks

Zhang vs. Ribeiro
Brendson Ribeiro, TKO, R1
Zhangs record is fraudulent.

Woodburn vs. Elliott
Oban Elliott, TKO, R1
Woodburn won’t be back in the ufc

It genuinely pains me to write this because I might be one of the bigger Fluffy fans on this site, but I think Kopylov might be able to pull this off.

Zhang - Ribeiro

Toughest fight to pick. I honestly think I’m going to flip a coin on this one. I’ve been stomped on it all week, leaning more towards Ribeiro although Zhang is a gym ***** and have trained with elite fighters. What do you guys think

I picked cejudo and I'm just really unsure about this fight. It's pretty unpredictable. I feel of they both decide to stand cejudo will have the upper hand but if they both decide to wrestle, I really don't know what happens.

I was going to pick cejudo but I’ve heard from multiple people that Henry hasn’t sparred in two weeks due to injury. Hard to say exactly how accurate it is but I’ve heard it from a few different people

Cejudo has better wrestling and he has enough cardio for 3 rounds. I am still thinking why I should not pick him.

if he had injury, that's bad - but we dont know that 100

Merab should take Cejudo.

Cejudo has cardio, yes. But if you think about his fights, the majority of his success comes from when he's able to control the pace of the fight. I just can't see him doing that against Merab, or at least, not sustaining it for long enough to pile up the rounds won. It'll be somewhat competitive obviously, but Merab handles him imo.

As much as I'd love to just ignore what you just said, Cejudo "firing" his long time coach was just so bizarre. Might make sense if he knows he's still injured. This isn't an easy fight if he's 100% healthy, so if he's hurt he might just be mailing it in. This fight was already cancelled once because Cejudo was hurt.

Maybe I'm trying to read tea leaves too much here, but Cejudo may have just accepted the fact that his comeback bid was over when he lost to Aljo. He might have just accepted the fact that father time has come up with him when this fight was initially pushed back due to him getting hurt. Him actually showing up for this fight might be more about him maintaining his legacy as a competitor and "going out on his shield" so to speak.

I mean, the guy is 37. He wanted to come back, reclaim the BW title, and then fight Volk for the FW belt. He's massively behind that timeline after losing to Sterling and then several months rehabbing from injury. At the same time, if he can beat Merab and stay healthy he'll get a title shot before the end of the year, so who knows.

Cejudo would have beat Sterling by split if that fight was only 3 rounds. I think if Henry is healthy and motivated, he can definitely beat Merab. The health part is a huge question mark for me going into this fight though.
