Alexander Volkanovski, TKO, R3
I understand Topuria is 14-0 but these two guys have no common opponents in their last five fights. Four fights ago Topuria was fighting Ryan hall… talk about a huge step down in competition. I’m not sold on why the odds for this match up are this close other than Volk getting knocked out by Islam in his last fight. Still think the odds should be way bigger of a gap between the two. Volk takes care of business but it won’t be easy
Whittaker vs. Costa
Robert Whittaker, TKO, R3
Paulo coming off of a massive surgery, Robert should get it done here
Neal vs. Machado Garry
Ian Machado Garry, DEC
It’s very clear the ufc is still trying to feed Garry even after all the hate
Dvalishvili vs. Cejudo
Henry Cejudo, DEC
A 3 round fight is exactly what Cejudo needed, I think we’ll be surprised to see how well he performs.
Hernandez vs. Kopylov
Anthony Hernandez, DEC
Both have faced similar levels of competition but Hernandez got that dog in him.
Lemos vs. Dern
Mackenzie Dern, SUB, R2
Dern continues to disappoint but can’t pick against her
Rogério de Lima vs. Tafa
Marcos Rogério de Lima, TKO, R2
Both of these guys are awful, lima is just more equipped to win via leg kicks
Zhang vs. Ribeiro
Brendson Ribeiro, TKO, R1
Zhangs record is fraudulent.
Woodburn vs. Elliott
Oban Elliott, TKO, R1
Woodburn won’t be back in the ufc

Cejudo has cardio, yes. But if you think about his fights, the majority of his success comes from when he's able to control the pace of the fight. I just can't see him doing that against Merab, or at least, not sustaining it for long enough to pile up the rounds won. It'll be somewhat competitive obviously, but Merab handles him imo.

Maybe I'm trying to read tea leaves too much here, but Cejudo may have just accepted the fact that his comeback bid was over when he lost to Aljo. He might have just accepted the fact that father time has come up with him when this fight was initially pushed back due to him getting hurt. Him actually showing up for this fight might be more about him maintaining his legacy as a competitor and "going out on his shield" so to speak.
I mean, the guy is 37. He wanted to come back, reclaim the BW title, and then fight Volk for the FW belt. He's massively behind that timeline after losing to Sterling and then several months rehabbing from injury. At the same time, if he can beat Merab and stay healthy he'll get a title shot before the end of the year, so who knows.
Cejudo would have beat Sterling by split if that fight was only 3 rounds. I think if Henry is healthy and motivated, he can definitely beat Merab. The health part is a huge question mark for me going into this fight though.
