I think Jiri better then Jan at grappling, people are over rating Jan grappling, Jan got smashed on the ground when people take him down while Jiri subbed Glover and Izzy and Strickland didn’t try

Alex Perreria hasn’t fought a good grappler , And I don’t think Jiri is great wrestler , but I think Jiri is better then Jan

Jiri subbing glover wasn’t really indicative of his grappling g skills tho. Glover was gassed and hurt & glover found the neck in a scramble

Alex takes shots much better at 205, it will take a lot of Jiri to ko him.
Jan had every advantage and mostly stalled, got beat up on feet and lost.

It's definitely a lot, I just don't consider Jiri or Jamahal at the same level as the guys that Henry beat, as of november 2023, Jiri and Jamahal haven't even defended their belt yet. It's not Alex's fault but it's just how it is. I understand what you are saying about the decision but whether Henry beat DJ or not is just an opinion, officially he has a win and beating DJ is one of the most difficult things you can do in MMA on top of his other wins.

No, I am not. I just named one person ahead of him not 10. Olympic gold is very difficult too, absolute elite athletes compete for that,  and he was the youngest in USA history when he did that, he also has other great wrestling accomplishments. If we are considering combat in general, Alex has to go on a run in MMA aswell, Alex doesn't have a title defense in ufc as of november 2023. Maybe he will go on a run then it will be very close.

Jiri - Jan - Grappling

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 3559th

I think Jiri is a better grappler than Jan too. If Jan was a great grappler he should have finished Izzy or atleast made it close to a finish. With all the weight advantage he had in that match especially since Izzy came in very light for the division, and Jan had a long time on the ground with him. It never got close to being finished, and Izzy is a kickboxer. Look at what Khamzat did to a guy like Usman with the weight advantage in R1, almost finished him, if it wasn't for Usman's great defense it was over. Jan just stayed on top of Izzy with the huge weight advantage.
Sure Jiri wasn't beating Glover in any area but he managed to defend well on the ground and surprisingly reversed a lot of positions through out the fight against a known elite grappler. Even though Glover got tired and made a mistake, Jiri had the presence of mind and skill to go for the choke instead of just sitting on top of him or making him stand up.
Glover against Jan on the other hand easily advanced positions and finished him like it was nothing. Jan's ground game used to be better years ago, but he hasn't shown it lately.

Tabatha Ricci has been dating professional boxer Callum Walsh for a few months; who's 8-0 and trains with Freddy Roach,

she has been cross training at Wildcard boxing, I expect some big improvements out of her boxing these next few fights

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 565 Points   |   Tied for 1163rd

Procházka vs. Pereira
Jiří Procházka, SUB, R4
Feel like Alex is gonna catch jiri but then end up getting caught in a twister

Pavlovich vs. Aspinall
Tom Aspinall, TKO, R1
Tom was favored last time I don't see any reason for that to change

Andrade vs. Dern
Jéssica Andrade, TKO, R2
Andrade beat prime lemos. Don't sleep on her

Frevola vs. Saint-Denis
Matt Frevola, TKO, R1
Big step up in competition. I bet on St Denis the last 3 fights and it paid off but this time I feel like the war he's in won't work out for him

Van vs. Borjas
Joshua Van, SUB, R1
This kids GOOD.

Gordon vs. Madsen

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 13 Winners, 5 Perfect, 665 Points   |   Tied for 258th

Procházka vs. Pereira
Alex Pereira, TKO, R1
Card is filled with 50/50 fights including this one. I'll probably do terrible on this card but here we go. Going with Pereira because Jiri keeps his hands too low and has been out for a year and a half. Won't be surprised whoever wins

Pavlovich vs. Aspinall
Tom Aspinall, SUB, R2
More interested in this than Jones vs miocic. Pavlovich did have a full camp for this card since he was originally the backup for Jones miocic but I'm going with Aspinall because he more well rounded

Andrade vs. Dern
Jéssica Andrade, DEC
I don't like how active Andrade has been this year because she's just going into training camps instead of taking time to get better in-between camps however I dont think dern will be able to take Andrade down & I think Andrade will do more damage in a mostly standup fight. Probably a dumb pick but **** it

Sabatini vs. Lopes
Diego Lopes, TKO, R1
Kinda surprised lopes is the betting underdog. His TDD is probably the worst part of his game but other than that he's younger, bigger, & dangerous everywhere. I trust lopes TDD more than I trust sabatinis chin

Frevola vs. Saint-Denis
Matt Frevola, TKO, R1
I love BSD & want to pick him but I see him coming in wild & reckless & getting check hook KO'd by frevola. If BSD can Chad his way through frevolas power he's a legit contender. Should be a war as long as it lasts. FOTY potential

Van vs. Borjas
Joshua Van, DEC
Van is the more well rounded prospect

Gordon vs. Madsen
Jared Gordon, DEC
I think Gordon is somewhat underrated other than his chin but he's not getting KO'd by Madsen who I always fade ever since his Austin Hubbard fight. Just look at his stupid head. That's the look he always makes when going to split decisions with clay guida and Vince pichel

Buzukja vs. Emmers
Jamall Emmers, DEC
Buzukja doesn't seem like he has much talent

Sadykhov vs. Borshchev
Viacheslav Borshchev, TKO, R2
Borshchev is a better striker than most the division. Sadykov is good but I don't think he has good enough wrestling to win but we'll see

Ricci vs. Godinez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
I think both girls will cancel each other's grappling and I think loopy is a better boxer

Kang vs. Castañeda
John Castañeda, DEC
Will kang keep proving me wrong? Probably but I'll keep picking against him

Erceg vs. Costa
Steve Erceg, DEC
Erceg looked good on short notice in his debut against a ranked opponent so it's hard to pick against him for now. Costa is a tank but I think cardio will be the difference in a close fight

The countdown Vid dropped just now. It was pretty good.

I need to keep my expectations for poatan vs jiri grounded in reality still. It's going to be an amazing fight but I don't wanna set the bar to high and be disappointed. If I keep my expectations low and they overdeliver I will be Happy instead.

That's interesting, it will lend itself well here against Loopy since I doubt she'll have an easy time taking her down.

Still gotta side with Loopy though, her power and aggression will be the difference maker. Legitimately great fight.
