Alexandre Pantoja, SUB, R4
I remember when I first became a fan of Pantoja, he was in some TUF season years and years ago, winning fights in real untertaining fashion, and he was interviewed in his one room home in some poor brazilian city, eating on his dirty bed a cheap can of something disguting. Now he's the champ and it's really pleasing to know he made some good money along the road. Rooting for him every time.
Rakhmonov vs. Thompson

Well, if this stays standing, Thompson is as dangerous as he ever was, and has every chances to outpoint Shavkhat and even hurt him here and there. But Shavkhat will probably drag him to a suffocating clinch battle before finishing him to the ground. Let's hope Shavkhat will want to prove he's the best striker for a round or two, so we at least have some exciting rounds before the (almost) unevitable finish !
Ferguson vs. Pimblett

I'm surprised to pick Ferguson here myself, but thinking of both men last few performances, it almost feels like an evidence that Pimblett, while capable of some kind a violent messy stand up and (let's be fair) decent ground work, is completely overated, easy to hurt, with bad cardio and a lot of holes in his game. Ferguson, while the shell of his former self, is on a shockingly long losing streak, but all losses against quality competition, and he's even been able to hurt Chandler badly, and to be competitive for two rounds against Bobby Green. Pimblett is a huge, huge step back, and while I won't be surprised to see Pimblett catch the old vet with some ugly swings, the more reasonable pick here is Ferguson being able to win his first fight in years, and (hopefully) retire on a last shinny blond scalp under his impressive resume.
Luque vs. Machado Garry

I'm a big fan of Luque (who isn't) but it almost feels like a mismatch. Regardless of the odds, there is almost zero chance this will be boring to watch.
Dariush vs. Tsarukyan

Wow, fantastic match up. Dariush looked a bit out of shape in his last fight, I hope it's not the end of his physical prime, because he's so close to be able to contest (and win) for the belt, it almost feels like he just need to hang and wait 1 year or 2... Hélas, Tsarukyan might be the end of his hopes here if he's not fresh and in great shape..
Menifield vs. Jacoby
Alonzo Menifield, TKO, R3
Menifield is still a work in progress, but he's improving nicely from fights to fights. So much maturity since that ugly loss to William Knight 2 years ago. Jacoby is a tough test, but he might be able to pace himself well, landing less than his opponent but maybe hurting him more with more meaningfull strikes. I can see either fighter win here, but Menifield is certainly capable of a nice upset in a closely contested battle, or even a KO stoppage.
