ryanQ I was high on Blanchfield myself. However, I watched back some of her fights and I see so many flaws. She isn't nearly as good as I thought she was. Blanchfield needs to get this fight to the ground or clinch as soon as she can. Otherwise she will most likely be pieced up by Molly. The other problem she's facing is that Molly has reasonable takedown defence. Blanchfields Jiu-Jitsu is high level, but her wrestling isn't really there. So this fight is a lot more competitive than most people think.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 14 Winners, 0 Perfect, 395 Points   |   Tied for 3595th

Adesanya vs. Pereira
Israel Adesanya, DEC
I want Pereira to win but I have to pick Izzy. Times have changed and both guys have leveled up their game but Izzy knows how to counter very quickly and get out of the way of shots. The only way Izzy loses this is if Pereira closes the distance and knocks him out. I don't see it happening even though Izzy lost twice to him in another sport.

Esparza vs. Zhang
Weili Zhang, TKO, R2
Carla gets a couple of early takedowns and then round 2 comes and she can't get anymore because she will spam them and Weili will keep stuffing them. Weili finishes her on the feet.

Poirier vs. Chandler
Dustin Poirier, TKO, R1
Poirier is a much better striker than Chandler. Yeah Chandler has wrestling to lean on but he never does that. Chandler could clip Poirier but he better hope he puts him out cause Dustin is gonna beat him up bad if it goes late.

Edgar vs. Gutierrez
Chris Gutierrez, TKO, R2
Edgar's days are over. We all love Frankie Edgar but Gutierrez is very underrated and has great hands with unreal leg kicks. I think his TDD holds up and he retires Edgar.

Hooker vs. Puelles
Dan Hooker, DEC
Hooker is gonna piece this kid up for 3 rounds. Puelles is sub or bust because his striking is absolutely terrible. I trust that Hooker will stuff some takedowns and destroy him. Hooker is back at his natural weight class as well and looks so much healthier going into this fight.

Moicano vs. Riddell
Renato Moicano, SUB, R3
I've always found Riddell to be a bit overrated. Still a fantastic fighter of course. I'd say he's more of a generalist though and there's nothing wrong with that. Riddell is a better striker than Moicano but Renato isn't too bad with his striking and he can go for a takedown and possibly sub Brad in the third.

Reyes vs. Spann
Dominick Reyes, TKO, R1
I want Reyes to win so bad. Seems like a great person and watching him get knocked out in his past 2 fights really sucked. He's very good and after this fight I think he will prove that he still belongs at the top. Spann on the other hand has a great submission game with decent striking but I can't back him here because if Reyes hits him with that power, he's gonna quit and go down. We've seen this time and time again. Also, getting knocked out by Johnny Walker looks awful at this point.

Blanchfield vs. McCann
Erin Blanchfield, DEC
The hype on McCann is wild. Two spinning back fist knock outs are awesome to watch but let's not forget how easily she can be taken down and controlled with no answer. Blanchfield makes this look easy. Future title challenger and it could come quicker than expected l. If Molly wins, she could get a shot very soon.

Petroski vs. Turman
Andre Petroski, TKO, R2
I'm gonna take Petroski here but like I've said before I think he's so overrated. Could Turman sub him? It's definitely possible. I don't like the chin on Turman and I don't like his striking but he has been working with Glover so maybe he could come out here and sub because his bjj has always been good and Petroski has a sus gas tank. I just think Petroski is too strong.

Azaitar vs. Frevola
Ottman Azaitar, TKO, R1
I have to go with Ottman here. His TDD is bad but I think Frevola is gonna get clipped by a shot before he even gets this to the ground. Frevola is underrated as well but he can't take a punch. I wouldn't be shocked if Frevola wins by decision if he can get the takedowns but I'm not leaning towards it.

Kowalkiewicz vs. Juárez
Silvana Gómez Juárez, TKO, R1
Here's another fight that's so hard to call. Juárez has some of the craziest power I've ever seen in this division. Especially for someone not even at the top of the rankings. Even though Silvana has terrible TDD, I think she will be too strong for Karolina and she will knock her out. We've seen it time and time again, if Karolina can't get takedowns at will, she gets destroyed standing. Silvana stuns her in the first.

Trizano vs. Choi
Seung Woo Choi, TKO, R2
I'm gonna take Choi by knockout. I think whoever loses is getting cut but I'm just not sold on Trizano. He's a good wrestler but he likes to stand and bang but he gets hit way too much. Durability can only get you so far. Choi has HUGE problems with opponents who like to grapple and go for takedowns. This fight should stay standing and I think Choi counters him at some point and puts him out.

Arce vs. Jackson
Julio Arce, DEC
Huge fan of Arce. He's one of the most underrated fighters in the UFC. I think his takedown defense holds up and he can beat Jackson with his striking. Arce has fought very good opponents in the past but I can't say the same for Jackson. Jackson has crazy power but he's not the best striker and if he can't get this down he could be getting lit up by Julio.

Ulberg vs. Negumereanu
Nicolae Negumereanu, TKO, R3
This fight is so hard to call but I'm leaning towards Nicolae here. I think Ullberg is a great kickboxer and is very skilled but I'm still not sold on his cardio. We know Nicolae will stand in front of him and eat shots all day and he can give them back. If he makes this a scrap, Carlos could be in trouble, only due to his cardio. I'm picking Nico cause he can take a shot and has better cardio. I don't think both guys are gonna be in the UFC much longer.

VooDoo's Takes

Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 1 Perfect, 550 Points   |   Tied for 951st

Adesanya Vs Pereira
Pereira, TKO, R2 Only one can hope ***** tits gets KO'd. Either Adesayna dec or Pereira KO but i think that he finds izzys chin early-mid fight, maybe late second round counter.
Esparza vs. Zhang
Weili Zhang, TKO, R1
IMO, Weili is basically still the champ and everyone will see why, if she fights rose again she will win as well.
I had R3 KO, but now im thinking Zhang doesnt play patty cake with her but instead throws bombs and crushes her early.. Esparza isnt ready for a swarm after her last performances and training footage. I bet Zhang KO or sub, and Same game parlay Zhang ML / under 4.5 and KO at +130

Poirier vs. Chandler
Dustin Poirier, TKO, R2
Fight of the night, peoples fight, etc. I'm betting Dustin by any finish,  and fight doesnt go distance. I can see a world where it goes to decision though, but fight doesnt go distance hedges a bit if chandler finds the KO himself. Overall gotta roll with my homestate fighter the Diamond to find the finish during a crazy firefight mid 2nd round !!Epic fight

Edgar vs. Gutierrez
Chris Gutierrez, TKO, R2
Edgar has entertained us for years but i think his time has come and granted, he will fight for your dollar but Chris looked ready at the press conference, i think his slightly bigger frame, and youth will help him find the KO R2-3. I have Gutierrez in parlay

Hooker vs. Puelles
Puelles, Sub, R2
Not betting this fight, and my brain tells me Hooker by DEC but idk where Hookers head is at lately at this point in his career and i think during an inevitable cage clinch situation we can see Puelles take a backpack, or sweep/singleleg and take control right there. Im not sure if i can see Hooker KO'ing puelles with ease, maybe  im tripping. So give me Puelles at what he does best.

Moicano vs. Riddell
Moicano, Sub, R2
Riddell should theoritcally win on the feet but with Moicanos range and mobility it might be closer than people think, Moicano will look at any chance to grapple and find the submission and as with the Puelles fight i believe it is inevitable at some point and think he can withstand the damage Riddell will throw before he gets close. Give me Moicano with advantage with grappling/subs and closer on feet than people think? i threw Moicano in parlay

Reyes vs. Spann
Dominick Reyes, TKO, R2
Im not sure where Reyes head is at either, but give him a round to warmup and than he should out perform Spann, possibly KO!

Blanchfield vs. McCann
Blanchfield , Dec
I am picking Blanchfield on here , but let it be known i put 5$ to make 75$ on Meatball by KO. I listened to her podcast wit Paddy and she is envisioning another spinning back elbow KO and finishing her on feet. Recommend not betting any womens fight tonight except Zhang.

Petroski vs. Turman
Andre Petroski, TKO, R1
Im hoping for a quick fight with Violence against a can, either catching him on the entrance, or GNP. Using Petroski in parlays

Azaitar vs. Frevola
Ottman Azaitar, TKO, R1
Frevola has a punchers chance but im hoping for absolute domination and quick work on the bulldozers return. Betting by finish and fight doesnt go distance

Kowalkiewicz vs. Juárez
Juarez, TKO, R1
I heard a few cappers going with Juarez and thinking she could find the KO, so like last week's crazy womens finishes lets take a shot at it. NOT betting.

Trizano vs. Choi
Seung Woo Choi, DEC
Choi in a parlay, and by DEC after a smart fight against a can.

Arce vs. Jackson
Jackson, DEC
I was torn at first but ill go Jackson

Ulberg vs. Negumereanu
Carlos Ulberg TKO, R2
Ulberg Can find the chin with a variety of strikes or possibly win a DEC
