I was kind of surprised when I saw that he chose Glory as his new gym. Probably a prior connection that led him there

Yes Glory is not a gym to improve... Laura Sanko, Giga Mazany, Tim Elliot, Julián Márquez.... One of the worst gyms of this level by far🤣🤣🤣

I don’t think it’s the best gym out there compared to other ones but it’s not that bad. They are definitely the best gym in the Midwest. They got guys like Elliot, Onama, Marquez, Molina and couple other decent ones. I think guys like Darrick Minner and Trey Ogden are pretty decent too

I don’t think they’ll have any homegrown champs but you never know

A few their fighters don’t really deserve to be in the ufc. Like Mazany or Breeden but they got in because of circumstance

Thoughts on Coach James Krause

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 555 Points   |   Tied for 1813th

Regardless of the results, there is no doubt that James Krause is an excellent coach: he almost always gives good indications during the rounds and in the breaks he is always honest about whether his fighter won the round, if the round was close or if your fighter is down 2 rounds and needs the finish. Glory MMA & Fitness is a very big gym and just as Krause has trained rising fighters like Jeff Molina and David Onama, decent level fighters like Darrick Minner and Tim Elliot he has also coached many fighters with limited skillsets and even disregarding the corner advices as is the case of Gina Mazany (Minner also lost the fights against Elkins and Hall because despite having a good first round, from the second round he paid little attention to Krause's Corner Advice).

I think a Brandon Moreno who is highly ranked in his category and who is a former UFC champion is the perfect opportunity for Krause to show what he is capable of. The public in MMA tends to be results-oriented, that's why they tell you that Coaches like Eugene Bareman, Greg Jackson and Firas Zahabi are the GOATs of coaching but when they do it they think of specific cases like Adesanya, Volkanovski, Jon Jones, GSP, Holm, KKF and Rory MacDonald and they don't mention the many others who belong to their Gyms and don't have notable careers. Although I am not in favor of the argument ''Trevor Wittman has 3 Aces: Rose, Usman and Gaethje'' and that is why many consider him the King Midas of striking, I do respect his enormous career as GTC's main striking coach, if we review The roster of that extinct Gym shows the quality of fighters that Wittman trained for many years to perfect his striking. As a final conclusion, I think that Krause has the potential to be a great coach in MMA, but his results also depend on the potential and the work that his fighters do on the cage.

^^^

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 555 Points   |   Tied for 1813th

Continuing with the topic of coaches: In that discussion of the best coaches I think many omit Henry Hooft who was Blackzilian's ace and is now the head coach of Kill Cliff FC (formerly known as Sanford MMA) whose roster is simply Awesome. While we know that Team Alpha Male has been through a debacle, there is no denying the impact Faber has had as a fighter, trainer, and even now an agent and promoter on smallweight MMA. While he has been blamed for TAM's stagnation, as an overall coach he is very good, especially in the wrestling/grappling department.

The thing with Team Alpha Male is that since Cody Garbrandt in 2016-17, the Sacramento team hasn't had a champion. In the past they had UFC Champions like Dillashaw and Garbrandt, real contenders like Benavidez and Mendes, and fighters who always managed to stand out in the octagon despite not having high ranking positions like Danny Castillo, Andre Fili, Darren Elkins, too. You can mention the case of Guida who joined the team after passing through Jackson Wink and Chris Holdsworth who had a future but we all know what happened. Team Alpha Male currently has Josh Emmett relatively close to a title shot, but I feel that Urijah Faber's team is missing a young fighter with enormous potential like a TUF runner-up like TJ Dillashaw, a wrestler who He showed great KO Power to get title shots like Chad Mendes, or a young rookie with great reflexes like Cody Garbrandt was in 2015, to be able to return to being one of the main Gyms at least in the Bantamweight and Flyweight division.

I think Anthony Smith has more of a shot looking into the fight, The question is will Magomed take the easy path to victory, Magomed should just wresle him as Smith has bad takedown defence, Doesn't get up and Jiu-Jitsu is good, But not good enough to either scare people from the ground, Or submit great fighter off of his back,

The problem is Magomed doesn't wrestle much, So they're a part of me that doubt that he takes the easy path, On the feet Magomed most likely still win, But It's a hard fight as Smith is dangerous, I think Smith has a solid chance to knock him out if he doesn't take the easy path,

I think it's 70-30
