Islam Makhachev, TKO, R3
We've still seen nothing from Charles to show if he's improved his takedown defense, nor his bottom game. Islam will take him down in the first, and Charles will waste much of his energy throwing up his legs trying to threaten a triangle or armbar to no avail. He'll survive the first two rounds the same way, throwing up his legs. But eventually his cardio will be depleted, and Islam will tko him with dozens of unanswered strikes on the ground. Every second this fight is on the feet though, Islam is in grave danger, I don't see Charles neutering his offense to account for the takedown threat, so Islam will have to be careful.
Sterling vs. Dillashaw
Aljamain Sterling, SUB, R4
TJ is going to look good for the first round or 2, his striking is still better than Aljo, and his td will be good enough to keep Aljo off of him for a little while. Age and wear and tear will be a factor here though, I just don't see him being able to Keep Aljo off his back for the whole fight, and eventually Aljo's numerous teeps and straights to the body will get to him. I give him until R4 or R5 until he gets his back taken and rnc'd
Yan vs. O'Malley
Petr Yan, TKO, R3
All the slow starting conjecture about Yan is frustrating. He's never clearly lost a first round, and now with it being a three round fight he'll be even more aggressive. Sean is so fragile, and he looked BAD against Munhoz, who most people thought he would easily beat. This is going to be a gross beatdown, leg kicks and combos will just melt Sean.
Dariush vs. Gamrot
Mateusz Gamrot, TKO, R2
No way Dariush can keep up Gamrot. The Pace that Gamrot fought with against Tsarukyan without gassing was incredible. In terms of skill analysis I don't see Beneil having an advantage anywhere. Smart bet is decision but I have a gut feeling that Gamrot gets the finish here.
Chookagian vs. Fiorot
Manon Fiorot, DEC
Another boring cardio kickboxing win for Chookagian is possible, but I'm going to hope Fiorot's superior striking will give her the win, and that her cardio won't fail her. There could be some funny looking side kick exchanges here, the both like throwing them.
Muhammad vs. Brady
Belal Muhammad, DEC
Belal has some of the best balance in UFC history. In his fight against Maia, he defended every takedown easily, often hopping on one leg to escape. I know Maia isn't a great takedown artist, but to deny 20+ takedowns is a great feat. Belal also has vicious kicks, especially the switch kick to the body he used against Luque. Brady could get him down once or twice, but I don't see him having much success before Belal uses his good bottom skills to get back up with arm traps and the like. Belal striking masterclass incoming.
Muradov vs. Borralho
Caio Borralho, DEC
Boring Borralho win here, unless Muradov has learned how to grapple (unlikely).
Oezdemir vs. Krylov
Nikita Krylov, TKO, R1
Watch Oezdemir's last fight against Craig and tell me how he has a chance in this one please. His reflexes are shot, his hands are some of the slowest I've ever seen now, and he even got hurt on the feet by Craig. Krylov will just run him over like he did Gus
Tukhugov vs. Almeida
Lucas Almeida, DEC
Zuba has had cardio issues in the past, and his power is lacking, though he does have a great jab which could play a big part in the fight. Almeida on the other hand has some of the best power in the division, as well as solid grappling and cardio. I see Zuba fading in the third, already having taken a lot of damage from Almeida's high output, he decides to just coast and pray for a gifted win (just like he tried to do against Dawodu)
Nurmagomedov vs. Omargadzhiev
Gadzhi Omargadzhiev, DEC
Toss up here, might change pick depending on how Gadzhi looks after the weigh ins. Gadzhi is more skilled on the feet, but in terms of grappling I don't see any clear favorite here (unless the lower weight class really makes Gadzhi's strength more apparent). If everything goes well during weigh ins I see Gadzhi being able to keep the fight on the feet and outpoint the lesser Nurmagomedov
Petrosyan vs. Dobson
AJ Dobson, DEC
Dobson took his last fight on short notice (with a ****** up meniscus) and in turn lost to a grindy grappler (I don't hold that loss against him). He does have good grappling skills of his own though, as well as crazy explosive power in his hands + a great chin. The dual threat he has should help him control Petrosyan for 3 rounds, assuming Petrosyan hasn't all of a sudden developed good takedown defense
Mokaev vs. Gordon
Muhammad Mokaev, SUB, R2
Mokaev is better everywhere, no brainer pick here
Länsberg vs. Rosa
Karol Rosa, DEC
Lansberg sucks and is old
