Oh the judges are for sure terrible. You never know what is going to happen when Sal D'Amato or Adelaide Byrd among others are on the panel

Sterling won the 2nd and 3rd, Yan won the 4th and 5th, It all came down to the first round, Yan most likely landed the better shot that , But Sterling out landed him 19 to 13 in the first. It was a close round that could of went either way, I personally scored it for Sterling, But if you score it for Yan it not wrong because it was close, I just thought Sterling won it by just being more active

Yan didn't get robbed, Just stop the ********, Just because you hate Sterling, Yan lost fair and square, Their a reason why I troll Yan fans,

Good shouts as usual. Couple of spots I disagree with though. I think it's still too early for Volk Max 3, give it one more win from each and I'm on board. Not saying Max isn't the best challenge there is for Volk but it gets tiresome running back same fight over and over without a break. Just imo. Same reason I want KKF fighting Figgy rather than Moreno Figgy 4.

Hansen is only 22 y old and she got robbed in the McKenna fight or she would've been 2-2 and fought one in wrong division. I think you give her some more time, don't think UFC needs to rush to cut her.
She needs to make weight though.

I don't get way MMA fans are so obsessed with calling close fights "robberies." Facts are Yan coasted in the first like he usually does and payed for it.

just rewatched that 1st round, i don't know how you give to aljo for running around the outside the whole time, yan controlled the center pressed forward the whole time stuffed both takedown attempts. aljo landed 3 or 4 more strikes. i could see a 10-8 in the 2nd or 3rd for aljo. but the 1st belonged to yan

Cage control means nothing at all according to scoring criteria. Damage and sub threats are paramount, doesn't matter if one fighter is on the backfoot the entire time

But going backwards ain't losing, It shouldn't even be scored, The only thing that should be score in a round with no significant grappling is damage, Yan got out landed 19 to 13, You can't say a guy clearly won a round when he got out landed by 6 stikes (30% more)

It was close, But Aljamain just doing more in the first won him the round in the eyes of the judges, And that a valid opinion, If you think the 13 out value the 19, That arguably valid also, It was just close

Nobody holds the judges accountable, everybody just goes on their way, 3 men's decisions be damned

Torres also got robbed with a split decision. Even though I benefited, there's no way Dern won round 3

3 judges is way to less for such important ights. Mistakes happen so often, that you shouldn't let 3 man decide about someones future if you see they cant be fully professional all the time. Not saying that happened in Aljo yan fight but I talk in general

Before the start of the third round Petr Yan's grappling coach told him not to turn his back on the scrambles like in the previous round and to do what they worked on in camp. When Sterling put Yan against the fence, the Russian turned his back again, at which point Yan dropped the fight.
After this people must understand that Petr Yan is not the genius of Fight IQ that they believed so much because if he were he would not have lost the third round that way and could also finish the fight at the end of the 4th round or in the middle of the 5th round, but Yan lacked more use of ground and pound and use the positions where Sterling was on his thing (which he would have achieved if he were really an IQ Genius).
I don't agree with the judges' scorecards, but if Yan had made the adjustments in the third round instead of it being a split decision, Yan probably would have won a unanimous decision (48-47, 49-46, 48-47). So just like the illegal knee, this loss was also Yan's own fault.

Yan lost because Sterling threw 6 more leg kicks in round 1 but if you watch that round, what you see is Sterling running away for 5 minutes. You can only backwards rationalize what the stats say and what the eye's saw

Torres lost because the judges are incompetent. Torres's round 3 was better than her round 1 and two judges gave round 3 to Dern

In Glory Kickboxing the fights have 5 judges, this reduces the situation where 2 wrong judges change the fate of a fight.
But I think that more than the number of judges, the problem is that the UFC always has the same judges (there are practically 3-5 commission judges who judge on almost 85% of the UFC cards during the year).
Judges like Adelaide Byrd, Chris Lee, Marco Rosales, Sal D'Amato, Derek Cleary. Almost always when they judge they get some controversial scorecard in one of the fights of the event. The UFC should penalize judges who make controversial decisions many times (and with little support). I'm not saying that they should be fined, they should simply be banned for a certain time or, if possible, no longer count on them for future events (just as the UFC has done with referees who do their job poorly).
