True, but if I were backing Gane, I would not be happy with that price. Would want plus money here idk...just feel like odds should be flipped but that's just me.

Hello all. I'm pretty much a newbie at MMA fighting and I was hoping someone more experienced would explain to me why Kay Hansen is favorited as opposed to Jasmine Jasudavicius. I understand that Kay has UFC experience that Jasmine doesn't have but in terms of overall experience, I think Jasmine has something for herself. She also has a significant height and reach advantage and I don't think Kay has ever fought someone this tall except Jessica Juárez in a boxing bout. Does it not affect takedowns or is Jasmine known for having weak TTD somehow? There's also the fact that Kay hasn't fought in Flyweight since Nicole Caliari in 2019 while Jasmine's only loss was at Strawweight. And finally, there's the issue of taking a year off for Kay because she has an eating disorder going on.
Any feedback on my interpretation is much appreciated. Thanks!

Jasmine is a very solid underdog imo.
All valid points...I struggle to get a read on the lower-level Women's MMA in UFC, so I tend to avoid unless I have a super strong opinion, and even then I've lost. Miranda Maverick being robbed in decision a few fights back comes to mind.

I'm trying to get better with Women's MMA because I've noticed a pattern where I'm just more inclined to research female fighters and I find it more enjoyable (maybe because I haven't experienced a significant loss yet). Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated!

A point in Kay’s favor is that she has gone through a ringer of opponents and leveled up after all her big name losses. Even to McKenna, I made money, but I thought I had lost it before the scorecards were read. Kay has a lot of paths to victory as long as she can handle Jasmines 1st round aggression.

Oh yeah for sure. I agree, I’ve just learned the hard lesson not to bet on good value dogs if I still don’t think they win. Kay isn’t worth the cheddar, but I favor her to win convincingly.

Facts but this is unranked wmma. Kattar was high level. I think jasmine is skilled but too green to fight someone like Kay

Yeah, Kattar was a relatively heavy dog, but I bet him because I genuinely thought he would win. Not just for the value. Jasmine has value, but I still think Kay wins even if the odds should be much closer. So, I definitely understand and respect the bet. But I’ll stay away from it.

@Split. That’s my only bet for this card so far lol. I got it at +105, it’s a really solid parlay.

Nice. Yeah the books I look at won't let you parlay them yet because of 2 of them being newish fights. Worried that once they open it, Topuria and Barcelos will be even shorter haha

@AyyLmaonnaise Ok, I've seen the full fight. I see that she was absolutely exhausted in the 3rd round after that explosive first round but I'm also noticing that, unlike Julia, she kept her guard up the entire time and still had enough energy to take her down until the end. I don't think she uses her height and reach advantage properly yet but she is still aware of it because she usually tries to maintain distance on the feet. I haven't really seen other fights from Julia. How would you say she compares to Kay?
