I think the problem we saw with ranked fighter cheery picking old veterant and refusing to fight hot prospect is more in 145-155-170.

JDS, Rosenstruik and Volkov were all ranked over Gane and he fought the 3 of them in nearly 6 months.

Can we all agree now that Lewis is undevoted to his body, it really makes you respect DC cutting down to 205. Amazing what he did, but Lewis is a quitter. He doesn't want to improve his game, his wrestling, his BJJ, he just wants to eat chicken and hope to land that right hand.

I dont really think he ever has been; thats why I like derrick so much. You look at him and the way he acts in and out of the octagon and he doesn't look anything like a fighter. Even in the octagon he literally just ignores fundamentals like bjj and wrestling

Lewis vs. Daukaus
Chris Daukaus, TKO, R1
You see the issue with Lewis is that he can knock out anyone and has great anti-jujitsu powers, but he's also Derrick Lewis. Like everyone in the top 15 is a way more technical fighter, so pretty much anyone can beat him, but he can also beat anyone because his power is insane. Chris could do what Gane did, or something similar, but Lewis could just want to land a punch and end his hot streak. Basically I'm saying that my feelings of a lewis fight are "Oh! Derrick Lewis!" or "oh... Derrick Lewis..."

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 0 Perfect, 365 Points   |   Tied for 3114th

Ferreira vs. Gamrot
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Not enough people are talking about Ferreira’s variety. Decent striker vs grapplers, decent grappler vs strikers. Mateusz Gamrot is a bit of both, just like Dariush. Ferreira has stated to use his wrestling more, but it might not be a problem against Gamrot. I’ll take Gamrot by Split Decision but this’ll be interesting.

Mayes vs. Parisian
Josh Parisian, DEC
Don’Tayle Mayes will throw jabs and low kicks to keep Parisian busy, but Parisian will land the harder strikes to the head and body. Parisian will take some heavy leg kicks but I think he will edge the decision win.

Sayles vs. Leavitt
Jordan Leavitt, DEC
Matt Sayles is a striker. Leavitt is a grappler. Add it up. Leavitt grinds it out.

Tafa vs. Hunsucker
Harry Hunsucker, SUB, R2
Justin Tafa is someone who gets in absolute wars. Powerful hands, but is mostly done in by more powerful and technical guys. Hunsucker has somewhat of a ground game, and 4 out of his 7 finishes are by Submission. I’ll take a risky pick with Hunsucker by Round 2 Sub.

Jourdain vs. Ewell
Charles Jourdain, TKO, R3
Jourdain is a volume fighter and none of his last 5 have come without a KD. And with 7 combined knockdowns (5-2), Jourdain is alsways a fun fighter. But Ewell will look to get the win with his punishing body strikes. I don’t think Jourdain will let Ewell touch his body, likely a Round 3 TKO after dominating the whole fight.

Eubanks vs. Gatto
Melissa Gatto, DEC
I’m noticing that Sijara Eubanks doesn’t throw any low kicks. She goes all to the head and sometimes the body. Gatto has more variety and is also the better grappler. I’ll take Gatto by Decision.

Meerschaert vs. Stoltzfus
Gerald Meerschaert, SUB, R1
One thing I’ve noticed about Gerald Meerschaert is that his striking is overlooked. With the right weapons, he is a decent striker with deadly guillotine chokes. Stoltzfus is gonna look to land some volume and land a combination between head strikes and low kicks. But Stoltzfus shoots for takedowns too much, so I’d have to take Gerald in Round 1. Locks the guillotine choke in for a tap.

If meershaert wasn’t terrified of Khamzat it would’ve been a good fight, he’s actually one of the better middleweights

Interesting bout between Chiasson and Pennington. It will probably be boring but i'm very intriguing to see wath happen here. I supose Pennington win by pushin macy againts the fence.

You remember when woment didin't know if they were to stay in the UFC? Carmouche, Tate, Zingano were all going for the kill at this time and now women bantamweight has become so boring!
