Mateusz Gamrot is the secret boss of the lightweight division. Fighting Mateusz is like fighting a reptilian mongoloid in golden armor duel wielding machine guns. I’m not even gonna study for this bout, I don’t need to say ****. Mateusz will be champion soon, guaranteed.

Ewell is ******

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 505 Points   |   Tied for 2453rd

Ewell lives and dies by the One-Two, and against Jourdain, I think he’s a dead man.

I’ve seen his style work before, but he doesn’t have the conditioning or the fight IQ to really make it efficient. His combinations are predictable and he’s not particularly fast either. This is an interesting matchup because Jourdain has a similar issue, he’s too reliant on roundhouse kicks, preferring to chop most of the time instead of keeping distance with teeps or side kicks. This weakness is what cost him the bout against Julian Erosa. However, I doubt this will be much of a problem against Andre because Julian is all about attrition and aggression, while Andre prefers to fight in the pocket and determine range. Fairly even matchup on paper, but in terms of skill and intelligence, Jourdain has him beat by a mile. I’m still in awe how he was able to chop at Marcelo Rojo’s arm, exploiting his bad blocks with high kicks so he could destroy him in the third. Anyone who applies “dead arm” Muay Thai strats in MMA is leagues above most strikers in the sport. You’d have to be dumb not to pick him.

Big fan of Chris Daukaus, but i feel this is too soon for him to be fighting Derrick Lewis. Lewis is a tough gatekeeper. Not good enough to be champion but takes years off peoples lives with his hands.

Heavy Weights always get the extra push the main event. much Respect for Daukaus for taking this fight but i think Lewis puts him to sleep over 5 rounds.

somewhat agree. On paper this looks like a horrible matchup for lewis; hes fighting a very high output striker and who is known for moving at the speed of a middleweight. But, hes fought literally the best of the best when it comes to heavyweight, and daukaus is 2 years removed from a ko loss to azunna ayunnwu. However, I am on the daukaus hype train so we will see how this goes.

Chris Daukaus has been quite the cinderella story since making his UFC debut against Parker Porter.  I don't think there was a single person who imagined this guy would climb the ranks like he has but I don't think he survives Derrick Lewis here.  I think Lewis knocks him out in the 2nd or 3rd round for this one.

Don't get me wrong, Chris Daukaus is a good heavyweight fighter who will be here for a while, but I don't think he will go the route of Gane and Aspinall in terms of being an elite heavyweight.

Idk daukaus is definitely the future of the HW division. But I do think this is rushing him pretty quick. Lewis is a ******* monster; idc abiut his last performance, that was a mismatch imo I don’t think he would hit gane more than 20 times even if they fought 10 times in a row. Derrick Lewis has been at the highest level of the division for pretty much as long as he’s been in the ufc. That being said, daukaus is the exact matchup that Lewis should lose. He’s a high volume striker with the speed of a middleweight. That being said almost every matchup at heavyweight is disadvantageous for Lewis and he still wins anyways.

I say one thing, I think Derrick Lewis might just start losing fight now, It more of a vibe thing, I don't really have proof to back my point as he just fought for a title, But I think it could be great timing for Daukous to shot to the top of the division, Beating Derrick Lewis now would mean the most as he just fought for the belt and is like 15-4 in his last 19 with win over Blaydes, Volkov and Nggagnu

But I will say it risky, Daukaus is 1 of the 2 heavyweight prospect, It not like lightweight or battamweight where they're like 10 or more prospect so if one loses who care because we still have 9 prospects, You don't want them to losses, But also Derrick Lewis is not a bad guy to lose to, Can't discredit him and it not bad for growth to lose

if daukaus loses I dont think he will be written off luckily. Like I mentioned earlier, hes 2 years removed from a ko loss on the regional scene to now fighting the perennial top contender of the weight division. Lewis has more ko's than daukaus has fights for gods sake! if he wins, he becomes the future of the division, if he loses im sure he will find his way back no problem

Actually Daukaus never beat anybody that I stil rank in the top 15 right now. Lewis is old and he is probably just here for the paycheck but I'm pretty sure he still have enought to put him to sleep.

yeah he really has gotten an easy path up the rankings. destroyed porter who sucks, nascimento is actually pretty decent, oleinik is one of my favs but hes old and his chin is shot, and shamil was just ranked high. Hes even getting the easiest matchup in the division for most heavyweights. Now that doesn't mean hes necessarily gonna win, cuz lewis has been consistently in the top 5 for a reason, but hes still getting favorable matchups. Despite not beating the greatest competition in the most shallow division, I think his skills are still pretty undeniable.

Justin Tafa via TKO R2 Parlay Piece

Just finished up taping Justin Tafa's and Harry ********** and Tafa is a parlay piece. Justin Tafa has the youth, more technical striking, calf kicks (which gave ********** serious problems in the Tai bout which led to him getting finished), body kicks and diveristy in his striking where he rips to the body. Lastly, he has the cardio advantage. Harry hasn't seen a second round since his amatur bout loss to Jessera Childrey which was back in 2013. Only concern for Tafa is that this is **********'s first full camp for a UFC bout and I have seen that ********** in the regonal scene attemepted a few TD's and got submissions from them. Justin Tafa got taken down by David Taumoepeau and was on his back for the second half of round one. I reckon he has fixed this but in a recent interivew of Harry ********** he stated that he plans on testing Tafa in all aspect of MMA. Should be interesting but Tafa should get the job done. He also signed a new four fight contract.

TAFA GANG TO THE MOON. Tafa via TKO R2.

Let’s give Lewis credit for fighting an up and coming dangerous prospect, when that doesn’t seem to be the popular trend these days.
