Font/Garbrandt is a recent example of that type of matchmaking. Competition level is a big thing when it comes to fights like these.

Think Hooker/Makachev also falls under that umbrella. Happens more often than you'd think - crossroads matchup.

I remember the fight daukaus definitely wasn't scared against shamil , was pissed off actually because shamil had already backed out twice before

Daukaus vs. Lewis

This should be a good fight. All depends how Daukaus approaches it imo. If he stays measured and utilizes his speed and footwork, he should be able to stay away from Lewis' bombs by peppering shots and circling out. But if he goes to war, Lewis can put his lights out. FDGTD will probably be juiced but will most likely hit.

Pretty much a prefect breakdown. Daukaus just has to mind his ps and qs; the only reason he’s lost a fight since 2015 is because he threw a lazy kick and got hit with a counter right.

I don’t get what weird about the matchmaking, Lemos vs Hill make tons of sense, don’t just look at the record, Hill just fought Tecia, Lemos just fought Monserat Ruiz, this is a step down for Hill, and a Step up for Lemos ranking wise, Hill also is a name in the division that Lemos can make a name off, it good matchmaking and a smart way to build a prospect

if you like hill in this matchup i think it could be a good live betting opportunity. Lemos has shown before that she doesn't have the ability to extend fights or maintain output. Hill on the other hand is a cardio machine. She may be like +500 or higher after round 1.

Same thing with Jourdain if you are on him. He is a slow starter and round 1 is often Ewell's best round before he tappers off. Albeit, moving up in weight may resolve his cardio issues. Jourdain will most likely get jabbed to bits in the first before finding success. I'm not very high on either fighter though. Ewell via dec at +350 could be a decent sprinkle. Also, if your book offers Jourdain ITD/ dec no action that could be a good look too

@Bloody that's kind of how I see it. If Lemos blows her wad trying to hit a TDD in the first, she gets taken over in 2 and 3 dropping the dec. It could happen.

No way should Hill be the dog she is.

@Baz from a betting perspective I think it's dog or pass. I can't be super confident on either of them. I'd be more confident on Chiasson if she didn't have the worst TDA of just about any woman in the UFC at 21% and a pretty ****** accuracy of sub 50%. She throws a lot but misses more than half the time. She eats shots at decent clip of 2.1 or something. I lean Pennington over 15 minutes. She will be thee one pressing the action, landing more that won't do anything but Judges have a hard on for that ****.

Dunno. No strong opinion on it.
