Not gonna lie, there's moments when the sheer wholesomeness of this sport leaves me a little weepy. Jordon Leavitt after driving Matt Wiman through the octagon floor is one of those. https://youtube.com/shorts/RED3En7-xYw?feature=share

Elkins losing to Landwehr and having a competitive fight with, and getting rocked by Garagorri boosts my confidence in Swanson.

His TDD is largely solid thanks to his opportunistic judo trips, he won't gas unlike some of the guys Elkins has outlasted and should have a marked advantage on the feet that he'll be able to exploit. He's a crafty vet who'll be ready for whatever Elkins brings to the table.

Also, think I might change my pick from Pennington to Chiasson now that they're fighting at FW. Raquel's advantage in close quarters might be negated by Macy not having to cut weight.

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 530 Points   |   Tied for 2287th

Assunção vs. Simón
Raphael Assunção, DEC
I get why Assuncao is the underdog but hey, wouldn't be the 1st 40 year old to whoop up Simon!!!

Ferreira vs. Gamrot
Diego Ferreira, DEC
I think Diego has much more of a chance than you people are giving him.

Elkins vs. Swanson
Cub Swanson, DEC
Unfortunately I don't think the damage strategy of getting his ass kicked until his opponent gasses out kicking his ass works on an expierenced vet that Cub. Cub should just pick him apart without gassing himself out.

Barcelos vs. Henry
Victor Henry, DEC
Happy to see Victor finally get his shot in the UFC! Man's been racking up wins in Japan and Russia vs legit guys for years! I really rate him, I just looked, I've picked him 7x and he's won all 7, a lot as an underdog! Roani is my guy too for years I wanted him to get a shot at a ranked guy, I think he beat Valiev last time. He certainly done the most damage (main criteria for a fight) but he also kinda coasts! I am actually tempted to take Victor here. Might just do it for the fun of it!

Sayles vs. Leavitt
Matt Sayles, DEC
If Sayles can keep this standing he easily wins this. Luckily for him Levitt has no shot wrestling so as unless Sayles falls for some funky ****(butt scoot, iminari, jumps into guard) I honestly think he wins this comfortably

Jourdain vs. Ewell
Charles Jourdain, TKO, R3
I don't understand this move for Andre at all. You have a 75" reach as a 135er, and still manage to go back and forth with people at best, you just get badly tkoed by a 135, and then the move is to move up and fight Charles jourdain?! I guess a paychecks a paycheck. If it's not earlier jourdain's ability to just be stronger in a clinch, or his signature turn up in the third round should overwhelm Andre.

Pennington vs. Chiasson
Macy Chiasson, DEC
The fight being moved to 145 has to benefit chiasson. I know it's cliche but this fight should be very boring with a lot of clinching on the fence. I think chiasaon is the stronger and younger fighter and will win more of it. They are both good on the feet, neither are great. Kinda like the one below this quarter unit on chiasson by Dec at +260.

Mayes vs. Parisian
Don'Tale Mayes, DEC
Dontale is more of a true heavyweight in term of frame gotta imagine if Josh just lost his extra fat not even getting in great shape just not blatantly fat he could cut to 205. It's crazy to say it but dontale Mayes is just better everywhere too. Josh throws his punches at a speed your average man bench presses. Unless he lands one of these lumbering shots for a KO, or finds a way to lay on him to gnp, mayes should coast. He's super tough though so he should survive the whole fight. Got a quarter unit on Mayes by decision at +255 just to have something on this. ,

Sayles vs. Leavitt
Jordan Leavitt, SUB, R2
Striker vs grappler but like they say the grappler decides where it goes and I'm seeing single legs all day for leavitt and eventually getting a sub. Also saw a interview from Sayles talking about how he got up to 250lbs during his years off and is only taking this fight at 155 as a step up from his real 145 class because he can't make 145 yet. Yeah that doesn't sound like a guy who has been grinding the last 2 years to improve. Got a unit on leaving ML at -105. Wanted to do him ITD but book doesn't have yet.

If Wonderboy was the exact same fighter with the same skills as he has right now but his age said 31 instead of 38, he'd be a -400 favorite over Belal.
