Ryan Hall could probably be champ if no one was allowed to watch tape of him and he was anonymous every time. But if his entries are always that slow and predictable, he's gonna get stuck as a rich man's Chase Hooper. Even Demian Maia had some hands.

There was a local amateur in my area (Michael Aquila) who was something truly special on the ground; he could grab a leg and tap high level guys at open weight tournaments as a bantamweight consistently. Ripped through the regionals and went pro with like a 7-0 ammy record with all first round subs. But he fought a few wrestlers who could stuff his rolls and got slept hard as **** and now doesn’t fight anymore. BJJ is not ******* fighting and eventually they all learn that lesson the hard way.
