We have had several very high caliber athletes from football, basketball, and soccer stroll into our gym over the years and they just couldn't fight for the life of them. They could learn everything well and freakishly fast, and they could bully low level guys in the cage, but they could never do all that well despite being freak athletes and having a lot of training. There's something about fighting that is different from just being a machine, you gotta have instinct and heart. And these Chinese PI products are missing one or both.

Vargas may be up two rounds but he certainly isn't fighting like it's for his job, which it very well might be if he doesn't win tonight. Really slow pace and he only begrudgingly initiates contact. Plus he seems to have totally neglected that calf kick that was working so well for him in the first.

Easy to have good performances when you're bullying low level fighters in your home town. It's a different thing to freeze in the face of adversity. I will say I think Zhu is missing the instinct he needs, he seems to have tenacity,

These Shanghai PI athletes need some more seasoning. Rong is too young to be in the UFC. Aori has the most promise and is a straight-up banger. I will definitely watch his next fight again.
