Usman vs Burns cancelled likely to be moved to january. Nunes vs spencer moves up to main event but of I had to guess this was done to McGregor vs Poirier could headline

What’s everyone’s opinion on Burns vs Covington for an interim title?

Interim titles are pointless. We all know who the champ is. I dont think Burns would accept that anyways. He's earned his real title fight and he will wait for that.

I don't think an interim is necessary if the fight is just going to be moved to January. But they might do an interim if they can't find a better headliner tho because it's been pretty much confirmed that casuals buy more PPV's if they simply advertise a title fight on the poster. And Nunes can't headline with ******* Megan Anderson unless that is the last resort option. Like she still isn't a draw despite demolishing the most popular BW and FW WMMA fighters of all time.

Remember Gaethje Ferguson? Whatta ******* kick in the nutz that fiasco was. Even Gaethje threw the interim on the ground and said he'll wait for the real one.

Yan vs Sterling

Predictions: 4 of 10 Winners, 2 Perfect, 290 Points   |   Tied for 2169th

So many cats across all social media platforms keep bringing up Sterling’s win over Sandhagen.
They do realize Sandhagen has terrible TD defense, right?
I wouldn’t weigh too much of my prediction on that victory.
And speaking of top 5... who has Sterling beat in the top 5 besides Sandhagen?
Pedro Munhoz? As much as I like Munhoz his striking is not on Yan’s level. Not to mention the fact that Yan hits harder than Sandhagen and probably Munhoz.
Then these folks downplay Yan for not fighting “true top five talent”. No idea why people write José Aldo off as some sort of has-been, as he’s really not. The dude is still top-tier talent.
I’m not writing Sterling off, but for anyone to act like this won’t be a hard fight for him is pretty ridiculous.

I don't know what to think about Dern vs jandiroba
Both got incredible jujitsu so I won't see either of them backing down from a grappling heavy match.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but doesn’t Yan have really good TD defense?
I mean it can’t be any worse than Sandhagen’s. I guess what I’m getting it is what happens if Sterling can’t take him down?
I don’t see Sterling beating him on the feet.

@Taylor_335 oh I am picking solely as a fanboy, I'm using my heart and not my brain for this match-up prediction. I like Aljo more, just a personal thing - got to watch him fight live and stuff like that. You can disregard my prediction comment, I will sometimes pick my favorites and risk taking the L on the prediction.

If I had to be serious, I think Yan TKO's by 4th. If Yan is in control of the fight, then the fight should not go longer than 15-20 mins imo. His pressure, speed, cardio and variety of offense is extremely difficult to handle, and I honestly believe that being tall and lanky like Aljo or O'Malley will not be a favorable attribute against Yan at 135 because of his extremely fluid movement and speed. I think Yan finds his way on the inside eventually during the fight and finds the chin every single time he wants to. Aljo and O'Malley also seem to have this natural tendency to leave their hands hanging out to the side or down at the waist at times, while Yan remains tight and technical constantly. You have to concuss Yan or tire him to get him to decline and lose that sharpness and focus, he seems to always find his rhythm in the fight and can always find openings. I think the way Yan loses at 135 is against someone like a better more technical version of Dodson, but like same height and stuff - I think you have to be at Yan's level and tire him out by mixing boxing, kickboxing and wrestling. The guy is tough af to put away, he'll probably lose a bunch of decisions when he begins his decline.

Anyways idk if you wanted any of this nonsense but sorry for the wall of text.

It fells kinda weird that they're actully got a batamweight title fight that not some ******** money fight, I thoght they were going to do Renon Barao vs Petr Yan. I hate what they do with batamweight because it one of UFC best division and they make stupid titlefights, Aljo derseve the title but they have to give it to Cruz and Aldo. I hope Aljo smashes Yan . And I hope it the start of actully smart title fight but It probley not gonna happen
