We lost Brooks vs. Lentz due to usual weight cutting BS, but the rest of UFC 216 is intact (though Kevin Lee tried his best to ruin the main event by missing on his first attempt.)

Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 630pm ET before switching to FS1 at 8pm. The PPV main card starts at 10pm.

Enjoy!

Love how they dubbed Conor's laugh after Lee said "maybe he's gonna have to work his way up to me" in the promo xD More or less sums up how dumb that line is.

Also, I have a feeling Lee makes this fight easier than it looks on paper. It'll be sad to see El Cucuy's run end like this when he should've fought for the real title ages ago, but I'm kinda leaning towards Lee banking on the gazillion holes Ferguson leaves with his wild **** and not being able to outscramble and out-cardio Lee.

I wonder about Lee's cardio in this fight now that he had to drain himself so much just to make weight.

Tony should be smart and not go all in right in the first round, but he doesn't seem to be able to do it. He's probably the only fighter in the UFC where you as a fan wish he was trying less to have exciting fights.

I don’t think the cut will effect lees cardio I think he’s just overrated his own cardio in general since he’s fight 3 round fights and at a much slower pace than this will be. Lee may have good cardio but Ferguson has a way of testing a persons cardio and heart like nobody else does. People get tired against Ferguson a lot faster than they do against anybody else because there is no break against him. Dos Anjos is proof of that a pressure fighter who pushes forward for 5 rounds who faded and looked beaten in the last 2 rounds

ARE YOU SERIOUS?  This sucks.  I really hope it isn't Lewis' spine acting up again.

Sounds like his back is acting up again, which probably means he shouldn't have been booked in the first place, since it was hurting him bad enough to "retire" after his last bout.

I was so looking forward to that fight.UFC has been a mess with these last minute/day cancellations.

I forgot who it was, maybe 10 or 12 years ago,a guy with iirc dyed weird hair injured his ankle warming up and never got another shot.I remember at the time they weren't doing PPV's so I finally got I think UFC 20 something maybe at Blockbuster and right when the Kevin Randleman fight was about to happen they were like he fell and knocked himself out, sorry about that have a good night lol.Tim Means passed out cutting weight and ko'd himself then moved to 170 (this doesn't really apply since it was the day before).Who else ****** themselves up right before they fought, like right before?I'm sure I could think of a handful more.Nunes of course with her stuffy nose.

So anyone know what happened to Lewis?

Edit:Wow,how do you go through camp with a back injury that bad and then pull out last minute.I think he probably had a **** camp because of it and didn't want to go out and look terrible. He could have pulled out a week ago,or days or something and possibly get a replacement. The guy's awesome but this just seems weird,I think if he made it through camp he could have fought unless he f'd it up way more warming up which sounds weird after having an entire camp.Idk,and it's stupid to say cause I have no clue but I get the feeling he was just kinda like **** it,he obviously had one foot out the door anyway.Or maybe i'm just jumping to conclusions cause I really wanted to see that fight :(

It's his back:

Spoke to Derrick Lewis via text. "I can't move," Lewis wrote. "I’m feeling the same pain in my back that I felt before the Mark Hunt fight." Dealing with two bulging discs. His team tells me he tried his best to fight through it. He's devastated.

@skelliher

That sucks so bad.  Lewis was a nice bright spot at HW for the UFC, and the fact that his body is giving out as he is reaching his peak in his abilities for his career is absolutely heartbreaking.

So it looks like Walt Harris is fighting Werdum, according to Twitter.  Big step up for Harris.

EDIT:  lol I didn't see Skelli post that.  Don't mind this post.
