Predictions: 3 of 3 Winners, 1 Perfect, 215 Points   |   Tied for 530th

The fighters are weighed in and we're set for a really fun-looking Bellator card on Saturday night.

Prelims kick off on Spike.com at 630pm ET followed by a five-bout main card on Spike TV at 9pm.

Seeing as there are 18 fights scheduled (some good prelims for a Bellator show, BTW,) I'm guessing we'll have in the neighborhood of 7-8 postlims.

Enjoy!

No it was a smart move on Tito's part. Remember when Chael tried to deny that he tapped against Silva.

What would Bellator have to gain from it being a fixed fight?Chael is who I would expect they'd want to build since it wasn't his last fight, like it was for Tito.Unless Tito paid Chael off,but that would be silly when he could legit win.I see no reason Bellator would have that fight fixed.

Bellator is shady,or I should say Coker is shady, but in my opinion the fight was legit.Chael looked old,out of shape, long layoff,he got out grappled by a much bigger/in shape guy with similar technical skills,at least physically Tito looked phenomenal.Hell,it could have been a work,I just don't think so.I think if it was a work Chael would have let him under his chin with that choke,he turned purple just from the crank/choke,it was there imo.

Plus,Chael has lost A LOT by submission.Out of his 15 losses he's been finished 14 times and 4 of his last 5 fights he got finished and finished easy.I think if there was anything sketchy about that fight it was just Chael taking an easy way out simply for another payday,or his heart just wasn't in it.I also think "clean" Chael (if that's the case) just isn't anywhere near the same fighter.I don't know if it's true, but he said about this fight,it was in his contract if he tests positive for PEDS his whole purse goes to Tito (besides commission $).

Not that this video has anything to do with my point of view, just posting it for people who want to see Chael talk about the fight.

People are talking as if this is the first time Chael quick-tapped to a submission. Chael has repeatedly looked very bad against anyone he can't outwrestle completely, Chael has repeatedly tapped to the slightest of submissions sort of locked on to him. Why would he look any different at his age after a 3 years layoff.

EDIT:: Also, Chael has a lot of money and no need to sell fights, if anyone were in the need to sell a fight it would be Tito.

Agree with yossgold as much as I didn't want Tito to win.
I knew he would do what he did and right to the Rd.
Tito the bigger guy and can out muscle cheal's double leg (which is his main if not only game. and has a decent enough sub game to sub cheals and his minimal ground game.

In saying that I hope he retires for good as I am sick of him and have been for 20 years

I guess it's believable a guy who has spent his whole career touting position before submission would give up position going for a poorly secured guillotine, then quickly give up his back and lose to RNC for the first time in his career.

Guy who has been submitted 8 times, is 0-4 in championship fights, and whose career hasn't been quite the same since he was caught cheating, submitted by bigger stronger former champion, UFC hall of famer, 6-3 in championship fights.

Yes, it's believable.

How was Sonnen going to win this fight anyway?  With his superior striking?  Was he going to take Tito Ortiz down and ground and pound him?  Not with normal testosterone levels he wasn't.  Chael Sonnen reached his peak by cheating, this is a fact.  Now, after what he's done to his body, he's probably got much less than he started with.

Furthermore, Bellator clearly has a plan for Sonnen-Wanderlei.  So they're going to fix the fight for Ortiz, who is now retired?   Yeah....makes sense.

Because Bellator knows to give the fans what they want to see. Giving Sonnen one more loss isn't going to hurt him in the long term, remember he's in it for the marathon, and it's better to give the fans what they want to see. Give Tito the triumphant end to his career and let him leave on a high and have a historical moment in Bellator that has high replay value. Chael can write off the loss using a three year layoff and the fact Tito is a bigger guy as an excuse.

The thing is you are never going to sell Chael as a world beater or build him to a dominant champion when he is 39 years old. He is a hype master who plays a good heal. There is a chance Chael is so rusty that he forgot everything he knew about wrestling and fighting. It's just odd that Chael a guy who doesn't even sink hooks in when he has his opponents back because he is so position focused, would give up dominant position to chase a low % submission. Then give up his back and not even try to defend an over the chin semi crank.

I'm not saying it's for sure a fix but it is questionable and I'm not the only one who thought so.

BigJ your projecting badly. You thought CHael should smash Tito, so now you are reading into things that are just not there, instead of looking at what actually occurred.  You just seem unable to grasp the fact, that Tito was just straight up better then Sonnen.  Also the choke Sonnen landed on tito was a solid attempt, Tito who always been a superior grappler to Sonnen, just escaped it.  Honestly people just seriously underestimate Tito. Stylistically this match up favor Titpo the entire time (which is why I bet on Tito), people just are blinded when it comes to Tito. Tito hit way harder then Sonnen and is a much better grappler. Sonnen only advantage was his wrestling. Tito held literally every other advantage, but people just where unable to view Tito as anything but a joke. The same issue with Sanchez as well, people treat them so much like jokes, they forget that there both extremely durable, strong and badass grapplers who can still get it done especially when stylistic match ups favor them.
