I like Tamdan vs. anyone, Brooks vs. Cowboy is solid and fun for any FN card, Smolka vs. Pettis is a contender fight in a division lacking contenders (not immediate shot, but it propels one of them into the contention area) and I REALLY like the Faszholz vs. Vieira fight.

Slap on a quality main and co-main and it's a solid FN card as far as I'm concerned.

Brooks vs cowboy doesn't interest me at all

Brooks comes over to fight the best in the world and gets 2 back to back mid level guys in the ufc. It could turn out to be a good fight i guess, but when he signed i wanted/expected him to fight guys like RDA, Khabib, Diaz, Johnson. Not pearson and alex olivera. Maybe he's just taking what they give him and fighting as often as he can. i'd imagine that's the case, but for a guy walking around calling himself the franchise, i'd expect him to be fighting top guys.

Mcrory vs Marquardt seems like a squash match, as does Smolka/pettis & Burkman/Green but they're all names, and maybe marquardt will catch Tamdan like he caught Dolloway, that'd be sweet.

I'll watch like i always do, but the ufc has always needed less events and to put the best possible product out there they can.

You must have really high standards then. This is a random Fight Night and the matchmaking mostly looks pretty good. Seems like the main hasn't been announced yet either. Maybe not the comain either for all we know.

Brooks is at least getting to be active getting paid more to fight these mid level guys than Bellator was paying him to defend his title. Plus they need time to try and build Brooks name because despite being Bellator champ he received almost no push from them. Plus Cowboy is a tougher opponent than people give him credit for.

I also like Smolka vs Pettis. I think Smolka is to agressive for Pettis and will overwhelm his technical striking abilities.

no he's not!

No he's not! he made 60/60 his last title defense. and was offered 150k to stay as champion. left a lot of money on the table to fight these mid level guys. after he runs though them he'll fight the top guys but nothing intriguing so far.

Won't Brooks make more money the more fights he gets in the company? This card looks like it will deliver exciting fights, or finishes at the very least. Christensen is a top light heavyweight I've been waiting to come to the UFC for a while, and Silva is coming off an impressive finish of one of the interesting fellow prospects at 205. Both good finishers. Walt Harris vs Abdurahimov should be a slugfest. Brooks looks to continue his climb up the ranks. A good prospect vs prospect fight at flyweight. The debut of an undefeated women's bantamweight (They still sign those??). Green vs Burkman should be a good standup fight, plus you have Barncat (Need I say more?). Story lines make things interesting, and I like these fights. Can't wait to see who they put as the main and co-main.

I was just basing on his last disclosed pay which was 36/36 vs 50/50 for his fight with Ross. If he made 60/60 for the Held fight then that wasn't disclosed and it would mean he chose to go to the UFC for less money which means they must have treated him like dirt if he was willing to fight for so much less a fight. We all know they didn't want him as champion and they wasted no time getting that belt back to Chandler after losing their last 2 LW champs to the UFC.

What is up with Oliveira getting these high profile opponents? His fighting Cerrone was a late replacement matching, and he did nothing in that fight to convince anyone that he deserved to be there. So let him fight Will Brooks? Nah

There are a lot of great match-ups on this card. With a solid headliner, it will be a good one. But it definitely needs a tad more star-power. Contender's bout at the top or something.

This has a lot of fun fights on it. Sorry, but it's better than some of the recent cards we've gotten, and some of the ones coming up like Caceres vs Caraway or whatever it is.
