UFC 57 Wiki Update Wiki

After building up the Chuck Liddell – Randy Couture rivalry on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, then solidifying it with Liddell’s knockout win over Couture at UFC 52, the rubber match between the two biggest stars in the sport at the time was the most financially-successful UFC event in the company’s history to that time. It drew a live gate of over $3 million and about 400,000 Pay Per View buys.

In the main event, Liddell launched himself from headliner to superstar status by knocking Couture out for the second time at the beginning of the second round.
