I thought for sure that the short notice would cause that line to be even wider than that.  Jose Johnson is not a very good fighter and I am still perplexed on how he got a UFC contract from his performance on DWCS.  But nonetheless, this will probably be the best wrestler Bautista has ever faced.  I'm still torn on which guy is the a-side.

I feel the same way, Bautista had way more prep time with his camp and will be well rested with a better mindset.

Bautista is a very good fighter, he just hasn’t gotten to showcase his skills against a top guy yet. I think he’s better than blackshear everywhere. Add the fact that Bautista also had a full camp & blackshear is cutting weight twice in 7 days and I think it’s gonna be an uphill battle for da’mon

Suga Sean by Sub Round 2. He will get taken down and held there for the first round, probably the full round. Come round 2 Aljo will get comfortable and leave an opening. Sean will tag him, follow him to the ground, take his back and get the rear naked choke at 1:50 left in round two.

I think Amanda can knock Zhang out, but the safer bet seems to be Zhang. Lemos doesn't have that Nunes power but she does have power and similar speed. That could cause problems, I think don't look into the Andrade loss too much, that was just a freak situation where instantly Andrade closed the distance and pulled off a rare standing triangle.

This fight I am actually really excited for, I believe these women are gonna come out and try and make sure it doesn't go the distance, both are finishers for the most part in their fights. Zhang has the experience advantage against opposition and experience in bigger fights.

I think this fight is gonna surprise a lot of people, this is high level women's MMA, I just hope I'm not wrong.

I think that the short notice will be a challenge.  What is in Blackshear's favor is that Bautista has been preparing for Cody Garbrandt, which is quite a different type of fight.

Cody Gibson

Predictions: 11 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 655 Points   |   Tied for 1097th

As much as I like Cody, I don't think he will be able to get a W against Brad Katona mainly due to his torn MCL. He will be at a disadvantage and not being 100% against Superman is not a good position to be in. With Cody's fight against Rico, he was lucky that Rico slipped and the fight went to the ground where the kicks to his knees stopped. Brad is fully aware of his injured knee and Brad's ground game is also very strong. I don't see Cody survivng to round 3, but if he manages to do so, decision will go to Superman 🇨🇦

I’m a pretty big Blackshear fan so I could be a bit biased but if he had a full camp to prepare I’d for sure be on his side in this one but yeah the 7 day turnaround double weight cut is going to be extremely difficult for Da’Mon who’s a pretty huge 135. I still think he has a chance to catch him early but if this fight goes into the late second and third round I think Da’Mon is really gonna start to wear down.

@thepro I agree. He was gonna ko Cody with ease, now he’s fighting a real fighter who can take a punch and also grapple well

Silly Props

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 480 Points   |   Tied for 3916th

Da'Mon Blackshear by Sub (would be craziest story in recent MMA history)
O'Malley by Points (even if it's close, I think they give it to Suga. I think the quick turnaround was very deliberate and it's his best chance)
Zhang by KO (she's a powerhouse)
Weidman by Points (too good of a story, do think he'll be able to use wrestling to pull out a somewhat sweaty decision)
Rodrigues by KO (his upright fighting style scares me to death but he can put the lights out. I see him getting it done)

The disrespect for Cody in this thread is insane, yall lost your heads as much as Cody have in every fight of his except his last one. Where he didn't once succumb to his bloodlust and started swinging for the bleachers but instead rode out a boring decision. He still has excellent footwork terrific handspeed and good wrestling and is in his prime at 31. I'm so bummed the fight didn't happen because if the general opinion of Cody on tap would mirror that of the broader market he'd have moved past the +300 range.

He just hasn't been able to get out of his own head and like many TAM guys he's a bit of a moron but you can't deny his talent.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 590 Points   |   Tied for 2180th

Sterling vs. O'Malley
Sean O'Malley, DEC
Not a confident pick at all, could very well get subbed

Vera vs. Munhoz
Marlon Vera, TKO, R2
I'd be surprised if this is even a little competitive

Weidman vs. Tavares
Brad Tavares, DEC
I want Weidman to win but I think he's too washed

Rodrigues vs. Tiuliulin
Gregory Rodrigues, TKO, R2
other other Robocop

Holobaugh vs. Hubbard
Austin Hubbard, TKO, R2
Hubbard has a win over Julian Lane who I occasionally play League of Legends with. I'll take him for that reason and no other

Moroz vs. Silva
Karine Silva
I know nothing about either of these people but I'll take the momentum of Silva
