ALJO is too well rounded. Wicked ground game. O'malley has to knock him out to win in my opinion

Cody is already 32 years old! Seemed like he was just 25. Years fly by. I like Cody's story but I just don't see that 2016 Cody ever returning but I'd be happy to see him dial into that version

Aljo just gets done fighting yesterday at UFC 288 and Dana is asked when Aljo/O'Malley will happen and he says August. Sterling literally has to jump right back into training camp. But I don't think the UFC and Dana really like Sterling as champ.
I dont ever hear him after a champ fights that they will be defending "x title" again on this date the night of the fight.
Of course they want the wildly popular O'Malley to win. Of course. It's just like Aljo just fought, he isn't even backstage yet and you have him slotted to fight in August already? Really? Seems like fighters/managers don't really have much of a bargaining chip

As much as I don’t care for Sterling, it’s the same deal with O’Malley. I think Sterling is just and awful matchup for him. He’s significantly stronger I think he’s gonna get it to the ground early and often

it's crazy that people believe that O'Malley has a chance.

Garbrandt vs. Bautista
Cody Garbrandt, TKO, R3
I'm not confident in this pick.

I think the scenario is perfect for UFC, I really think Sterling deserves more credit but I also don't agree with DC Comments about ''People need to stop booing Aljo'', MMA fans may be irrational but they have free will to cheer or booing a whoever they want, I remember that Aljo loved milk the knee and Oscar Performance situation and I think that attitude has made him a villain for a large part of the MMA Fanbase.
I repeat that: it's a perfect scenario for the UFC because the hated champion Sterling is going to fight Sean O'Malley whose personality of ''I'm a stoner and I made whatever I want'' has had great acceptance by the casual public and honestly Suga Sean has a really flashy style on feet that also adds both casual and hardcore fans. If the loved challenger destroys the hated champion in an impressive fashion, UFC make a real viral moment and a certificate big star at O'Malley.

In addition to putting Garbrandt vs. Bautista in the Main Card, it will be excellent for the press conference because Garbrandt and O'Malley will probably be more interested in exchanging verbal jabs with each other than with their respective opponents, I would not be surprised if the UFC put some other polarizing fighter in order to encourage the O'Malley-Grabrandt beef. Besides words and face-off both dudes know that this is part of the business and there will be no situations like the Holland and Chimaev Backstage fights at UFC 279 or Holland vs. Masvidal in Miami. The card will be in Boston, hopefully the UFC schedules the return of Kattar (if he is 100% recovered) for this card as well as Font against some Top 10 in the Main Card,
Card can be Something like:
Main Event: Sterling vs. O'Malley
Co-Main: Sandhagen vs. Font
Kattar vs. Barboza
Kelvin Gastelum Welterweight Return Fight.
Main Card Opener: Garbrandt vs. Bautista

They are trying to lead Cody in the direction of the top 15. It’s going to be hard to get back there. He was in the top 10 at BW when he fought Font two years ago. Then he decided to move to Flyweight. He met the sane horrible end at flyweight as Dillashaw did. Now back at BW. Got the easiest BW fight over late replacement Trevin Jones

Cody has fallen off just like Barao did. Except Barao had more  success as champ. But both their careers fell off the cliff suddenly
