Jones is probably gonna win anyway, but asking the crowd if they want you to beat him up is probably the one thing that is most sure to light a bonfire under Stipe's butt. Would have been more disarming from Jones to give Stipe nothing but respect.

You know what I really like about Jon Jones? His Jiujitsu. It’s so basic. He doesn’t do anything crazy on the ground when it comes to submissions or passes or anything like that, he’s just so ******* good at the basics that he can beat anyone.

On Jones and religion: I'm not a Christian myself, but as I understand it, Christianity's central message is forgiveness of sin and redemption through grace. Jones' dad is a minister, so that sort of thing is his basic understanding of the world, at least as far a  his upbringing went  He may be a ********, but what he said was right in line metaphysically. Them's the rules. 

Now let's see if he can make it to April without seeing the inside of a jail cell.
