Sadly I think so too but I'm rooting for Pereira and this will definitely be Izzy's toughest fight yet. Finally an exciting competitive fight. I feel like a lot of the title fights recently have been in that sorta "blah" category where you pretty much know the champion is gonna win. I mean Adesanya's last title defense against that 15-5 38 year old 2 fight win streak bum was about as close as you can get to a "gimme fight" in a major organization. Total mismatch. We knew he was gonna beat Vettori, we knew he was gonna beat Whittaker since he already did the first time (still an interesting-ish matchup and Whittaker arguably won but after you've already KO'ed someone once I don't have much intrigue in the rematch unless something drastic has changed). This is his first title fight that actually feels competitive, like it could go either way

@Chin Cause you did ask a stupid question and you were quite rude about it. Why WOULDNT Adesanya be a favorite? 22-1 been doing MMA at the highest level for years vs a 6-1 guy who got into the UFC last year. I want Pereira to win too, and I think he might, but to completely dismiss my comment because you deem it stupid that I’m surprised Izzy’s a dog on Tapology is dumb lmao

When people say adesanya gets his revenge how do they envisage it lol. Cause it certainly ain’t happening by ko, like leg kicking and jabbing from distance with the occasional run away is revenge ha

Adesanya way to win this is to be the better martial artist, I think Alex Perriera is better then Izzy on the feet, I think he has to mix it up with takedown to win

I think it a similar matchup to Izzy vs Rob, it just Izzy is now the Rob, and Perriera is the better kickboxer. That why I think Izzy should at least mix the takedown, he get them,

Adesanya will be better on the feet and on the ground if needed. rewatch their fights, Izzy was kicking his ass, just made one mistake. and the desicion - he won it.

come back after the fight here, we will talk.

Vandal I'm back after a little bit of research

Alex Pereira:
took the fight on short notice
was injured coming in
was an alcoholic at the time

and he still ko'd Izzy. something to think about

I don't know If Adesaya could wresle him to sucessfully, But that the way I think he wins it, If it on the feet the whole time, Pereria would be better, He was training kickboxing, When Izzy been training wresling and jiu-jitsu

The thing is Perriera only be taken MMA serriouslly for a year,(2 years top),  Adesanya wrestling is really good defensively, I know defensive and offensive wrestling is diffrent, But the skill should translate somewhat, also Izzy is a champ with 5 title defense in the UFC, It silly to think, He's not a better wresler and couldn't get takedowns on a guy who been training this sport for less time then Adesaya been champ of the sport, Bruno Silva took him down twice

Izzy has been outgrappled significantly 7 times 3 as a newb 1 against a LHW.
He has improved his tdd but the number is wrong or at least deceptive.
Rob took him down 4 times as did Marvin who controlled him a lot for supposedly losing.
I don't think Izzy will go for takedowns or subs but he is unpredictable.

People should put a big bet on Perreria at +140 if you think Adesayna has no chance of wrestling him sucessfully, I'm about 90% certain if this fight stays on the feet, Alex will win, Perreria beat him twice in kickboxing when they're both was training kickboxing, Pererria spent a few more years training kickboxing while Izzy been training grappling also, Alex improve more standing,

I thought Adesaya be a dog because every say's it insane that I think Izzy is the better grappling and wresling is his main path to victory,  everyone think i'm insane for saying that, I don't know if he will out grapple him, Adesaya never attempt offensive grappling in his fight because why would he, it more of an unknown, but his defensive grappling is real good

I didn't know Pereira was alcoholic, but his face approves lol.

In my opinion Izzy was winning the desicion and the second fight too.

I also don't think this fight will go to the ground.

I respect your opinion and research, see you here at the top, I mean - after the fight :)
