just because his recent run/fights have been him mainly boxing it up because of how well his boxing has been coming along, doesn't mean he has bad wrestling
early on in his career against pettis/miller/koch/holloway and many other fw contenders he was actually wrestling successfully

Chris Gutierrez
Frankie's retirement fight. Frankie has bad history against fighters that are taller and larger than himself. While gutierrez hasnt fought someone of this experience ever. Almost feels like a trap, lob pass to frankie by Dec if his chin lives by greasy takedowns and chain wrestling. Issue with this fight is that frankie is most comfortable fightin goff his back foot, but gutierrez forces opponents to push forward while circling from the outside. So this will push frankie into a fight he isnt used to having typically. Itll also open up more td opportunities for frankie, not good for gutierrez. It seems like frankie can win this but he gives me no confidence to side with him. Hasnt won against someone bigger than him in 4 years. For that reason Gutierrez ML.

On paper this fight looks like Claudios only path to victory is by SUB, bad news for him. Hooker has only lost by SUB ONCE* and it was islam. Should be hooker by TKO or DEC. Need to watch film. After film notes: Claudio td attempts are horrendous, if hooker utilized this camp and skills correctly this will be reduced to a stand up affair. Hooker will scrap this out to a decision. Otherwise he will reduce himself to bum status by falling into a BJJ game with Claudio.

Tiger muay thai fighters seem to have such a durable resume vs Brazilian "BJJ" tough fighters. Leaning brad riddel, last time i did this I ate a big bag of weiners by way of jalin turner. Need to watch film. Post film: Renato is a scrapper and loves getting in wars. Bad news is Riddel's resume with standup scrappers is pretty good (MULLARKEY / DOBER / ALMOST WENT 3 WITH FIZIEV). If riddel can manage himself on the ground i think this will be a good scrap on the feet that favors riddel, only concern is height. But feel confident about riddel td defense after trainign with tiger muay thai and city.

Absolutely incredible fight. Poirier is a less athletic yet way more skilled version of Chandler. I expect Dustin to piece him up.

Brad takes no easy fights and that's why I love him. I doubt Moicano is a good enough wrestler to trouble Brad enough.
Reyes vs. Spann

A man who went to a split decision with Sam Alvey has no business being in there with Reyes. Even though it's been a long layoff, I expect Reyes to dust Spann.

Are they trying to build Petroski as some kind of star? Why is he getting this soft competition? He's alright but there are many better middleweight wrestlers.

So Ottman exists? Cool, his brother was thoroughly fraud checked but his power should crack Frevola's chin

Silvana is not good and I'd love to see Karolina win again. She should have retired after her last fight but oh well.

My perpetual overrating of Youssef Zalal always makes me think Choi is better than he is but he should win.
Arce vs. Jackson

This fight is going to be awesome. Arce is one of the most underrated fighters in the sport and should give Jackson a great test. Very much looking forward to watching how Jackson adapts.
Ulberg vs. Negumereanu

How is Ulberg the favorite? He's not very good and this is a very bad stylistic matchup. I don't quite understand.

Reyes is a warrior but dont know how much of that chin is left. Worth noting, Reyes last three losses (whil ein a row) have all come by current or former champions. Leaning Spann but must watch film. Post film: Spann is worth eating a few good shots and rallying. I cant bet a man after being flat lined especially the way reyes was. I think he will come in with a good fire but that my money says that reyes chin has been softened at this point. Spann ML. Sprinkle of prop: Spann by TKO

Andre Petroski
Dont love the line but petroski is one of my boys. Gotta watch film. Post film: Turman shows really low level intensity and logic with LOW level fighters. He is a dog with a rally trait but andre is better on the feet and better in wrestling/BJJ. Petroski should start off rusty with this being his first in front of a big crowd. But i think petroski by whatever the hell he wants when he gets his rhythm.

Frevola is a favorite bed wetter. Watch film. Post film: Frevola is way to liable to get hit anywhere in the fight. And that is not acceptable vs Ottman. Ottman has serious power, kind of a hidden terrance mckinney. Do i love the pick? No but with power like Azaitars im taking him as a dog all day
