Ah yeah I definitely see it. Idk is Maia is the "best" grappler or Luque is the "best finisher" (probably though idk, that's a weird category) but yeah he's pretty damn good despite being more boring than a mute fly

Yeah, I think Belal has this. Say what you will about his dull fighting style but his fight IQ is absolutely off the ******* charts. He’s so smart and has outwitted his opponents with smart gameplans he can realistically accomplish with his skill set. Sean is a beast in his own right, but his standup is rough and I can’t really see him chasing a grappling match with Belal. Sean was able to outwrestle Chiesa due to Chiesa’s lackluster grappling defense, and his win over Connor was largely in part to his massive size compared to Connor. Sean isn’t really a submission artist either, he’s a position-over-submission pressure grappler. Can’t apply positions if your opponent won’t let you, and I don’t think Belal will even give him the chance.

idk why everyone hate belal, he's boring fighter to watch but, can't everbody showmans and ko artist, when he get takedown he make position, he get control time points, he go with some gnp and that's it.

But also the best grappler was pushing 45, the best striker was pushing 40, they’re not in they’re prime, I will argue that Brady be a better grappler then Maia just because he’s not 45 year old, I think they’re an argument that Brady is the best grappler in the division

My worry for Brady though is he has to improve his hands to make it to the top, i don’t think that hard to do, even if it will take time, most of the top welterweight are either wresler or Gilbert Burns, So it hard to just wresle**** them

I said 29 year old Brady could be a "better grappler" then 45 year old Maia just because of youth, Grappling is a physical sport and being over 40, You just not as much of an athlete, it just basic biology,

THEY SAY BRADY IS no proof but he is touted in grappling.
His striking might be worse than khabib defense much lol.

I will say this, when it comes down to straight grappling. Brady is the best at 170, he beat Craig Jones in a grappling match who is one of the best in the world. I do know heel hooks weren’t allowed but it’s still incredibly impressive considering the accomplishments Jones has. He also subbed Ben Saunders with a kimura in grappling but that’s less impressive

Of course this is mma, not a grappling match. And that is why I’m taking Belal, he’s got better striking everywhere. Solid td defense and grappling in his own right as well, if Brady was fighting someone like Wonderboy or Luque it would be easy work probably. But Belal has the luxury of being extremely well rounded despite being a boring fighter

Belal's striking, while it's gotten much much better, works because he's able to mix in and have a lot of success with his wrestling. I don't see Belal having nearly as much success grappling with Brady as he did against Luque or Wonderboy. Just saying.

Sean Brady absorbed more significant strikes against Court McGee in his debut than he has in his 4 fights since then. I think Belal can have some success early grappling but Brady will end up eventually dominating most of the positioning.

I honestly think this will be very similar to the Chiesa fight. Brady with 5+ min of control time and 50-60 total significant strikes between both fighters.
