Edwards vs. Pascual
Joselyne Edwards, DEC
In this matchup Joselyne has the advantage in clean striking technique and speed (and despite coming from a lower weight category, she also has height and reach advantage), what I think can complicate it is her takedown defense that has been weak point in the UFC (I hope her time training wrestling with Claudia Gadelha helps her for this fight). There is no doubt that Pascual has good chin and heart, but her striking defense is practically non-existent, in addition to not being a very fast fighter, the most remarkable thing is that during the fight against Nunes she knew how to find good timing to get takedowns (although she did not know capitalize the position). Nunes managed to hurt Pascual with Flurry punches, it would be good for Joselyne to use a similar strategy. What surprises me the most is that the fight is between the featherweights: Ramona Pascual does not seem to me to make a great weight cut to give 145 pounds and Joselyne has always seemed to me that she should try to go down to 125 pounds before going up from weight category. I sincerely would like to see Joselyne win, she is the only representative of our country in the UFC and by signing on Short-Notice she is 100% sure that if she loses it will be her last fight in the UFC. "La Pantera" knew how to do things well as a fighter, he emigrated to the USA when he gained experience, he stood out in circuits such as KOTC and LFA, he affiliated with Dominance MMA and thus obtained his opportunity to arrive in the UFC, in Panama there are many boys that they win a couple of fights and they think that Sean Shelby or Dana White himself is going to call them to tell them to sign the next week for the UFC. The MMA promoters in my country are not that famous within our sports panorama, much less are you going to get from the UCC to the UFC, Bellator or the PFL, I just think that Vernon Ramos is the only Panamanian who is trying to fight in the regional circuits from the USA (although his last fight was cancelled). So from the bottom of my heart, I hope Joselyne can win and stay in the UFC, start a new cycle after two losses in a row and seriously consider going down to 125 pounds.

Maheshate vs. Garcia
Steve Garcia, TKO, R2
Maheshate has more room to grow, but I think this is a little early. He looked pretty raw in his DWCS fight, and although he turned up, he looked very awkward for the first half of the fight until Achilles slowed down. Garcia should finish him off with his hands but otherwise, Maheshate could spring a dec upset.

Prediction Comments (very confident spots)

Predictions: 5 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 265 Points   |   Tied for 3373rd

Shevchenko vs. Santos
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R3
Shevchenko is better everywhere, Andrade had way more of a punchers chance. Roxanne and a past marriage wood as your best wins, while losing to borella, don't equal beating Valentina.

Zhang vs. Jędrzejczyk II
Weili Zhang, DEC
Not "very confident" in a side here, it's more of the over 2.5. this fight is going to decision. Everything points that way. I lean toward the Zhang side.

Maddalena vs. Emeev
Jack Della Maddalena, TKO, R2
Nobody emeev has fought is still in the UFC besides his last loss. Judges starting to not reward just blind control time. Aging emeev doesn't have much past that. Della showedpretty good defensive wrestling chops in his dwcs, I think this is complete setup to promote Della.

Choi vs. Culibao
Seung Woo Choi, DEC
Kinda like emeev, culibao only success will be just clinching against cage, and I don't think he's all that skilled there to have success. Striking is miles apart. Give me choi to win easy decision or ko him.

Prediction Comments (somewhat confident spots)

Predictions: 5 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 265 Points   |   Tied for 3373rd

Matthews vs. Fialho
Jake Matthews, DEC
Think fialho is very first round or bust and Matthews been pretty durable. Looking for him to mix in wrestling like has been fialhos problem before ufc.

Kang vs. Danaa
Batgerel Danaa, TKO, R2
Even though Kang has definite wrestling and grappling advantage, I thought Danaa looked decent against heili, and I also don't think kung has fought anyone recently with the power on the feet as danaa. Similar situation as how nobody thought Davis would get KOed because he wasn't before danaa.

Juárez vs. Liang
Na Liang, SUB, R1
Juarez has shown so so poor ground defense, plus Liang young and just getting to that good age, could show maturity for first ufc fight and point fight but I think if not early eventually Liang with catch her in a sub on ground.

Edwards vs. Pascual
Ramona Pascual, DEC
Edwards has shown a clear and glaring weakness to offensive wrestling. Even though she's probably slightly better on feet, the overall size (I don't mean frame, size) will be so much for Edwards to handle if Pascual can get on top. Hoping pascual plays to her gameplan

Why are the major betting sites not letting me do a prop bet on Na Liang by sub?  It's not even available the day of the fight?  They only have Silvana Gomez props but not Na Liang?  I've never seen this before.

Maddalena vs. Emeev
Jack Della Maddalena, TKO, R1
Counter Left Cook Meta bruv!

Choi vs. Culibao
Seung Woo Choi, TKO, R2
Woo Choi is exciting and flawed and Calibao is a gritty AF and under valued, that being said, he's not as slick as Bruce Leeroy to pull off what he needs

Maheshate vs. Garcia
Steve Garcia, TKO, R1
Garcie's meh, but he's gonna put pressure on Hayisaer Maheshate, and the house of cards his record of lies is built upon is going to come crashing down

Allen vs. Malkoun
Brendan Allen, TKO, R3
Respect to Malkoun as a grinder, he gets it done despite a dearth of athleticism or physical gifts, but he needs his opponents to have holes, and he's not going to find one here he can exploit.

Kang vs. Danaa
Batgerel Danaa, DEC
I just can't pick against Bat Girl. This is one Mongloid (mongolonoid?) you don't wanna mess with!

Juárez vs. Liang
Silvana Gómez Juárez, DEC
I need to see more of Na LIANG because I just have 0 faith in fighters who come out of the China regional scene. So much smoke and mirrors over there.

Edwards vs. Pascual
Joselyne Edwards, TKO, R3
I just have more faith that Joselyne is 'real deal' at this point.

Predictions: 5 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 300 Points   |   Tied for 2662nd

Teixeira vs. Procházka
Glover Teixeira, SUB, R2
One man dies here, I just can’t figure out how. Jiri by KO or Glover by Sub. Either way I like this to end in 3 rounds or under. Good luck men.

Shevchenko vs. Santos
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R3
Bullet is going for a stoppage here.

Zhang vs. Jędrzejczyk II
Joanna Jędrzejczyk, DEC
Though Jo might have won the first fight. Super close one to pick.

Matthews vs. Fialho
Jake Matthews, DEC
Late flip to the dog here. Stick and move, and hasn’t been KO’d standing which is Fialho’s main path to winning.

Maddalena vs. Emeev
Jack Della Maddalena, DEC
Who the hell knows. Clash of styles. I’ll go with the hype train.

Choi vs. Culibao
Seung Woo Choi, DEC
Choi in a slow one

Maheshate vs. Garcia
Steve Garcia, SUB, R2
Gets it to the ground and finishes.

Allen vs. Malkoun
Brendan Allen, DEC
Better everywhere.

Kang vs. Danaa
Kyung Ho Kang, DEC
Kang with the grappling. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Juárez vs. Liang
Na Liang, SUB, R1
Somebody dies. This one doesn’t see the cards.

Edwards vs. Pascual
Ramona Pascual, DEC
Liked Pascuals size to grapple at the weighins.
