This might be one of the most diverse cards in recent memory. Lots of countries not normally represented and only 2 Americans on the card

Damn 14 different countries represented. More if u count maheshate being an ethnic kazakh, kape being angolan-Portuguese, and culibaos family is Filipino immigrants who came to Australia

There's gonna be an annoying narrative this week that everyone is counting out Glover cause he's the Vegas underdog. Even those that are picking Jiri(like myself) know the threat that Glover brings and the fact that this could easily go either way.

I’m so split on who wins in Juarez vs na. If it was literally anyone else, I would fade na but she’s getting a very favorable matchup here. Juarez is old, clearly not ufc level, and has no grappling or fight iq whatsoever. I wanna say she should just batter na and make her quit on the feet (0 striking defense or head movement from na) but if it goes to the ground, idk how bad na is, she will get a submission. Any thoughts?

I hope Glover win again because i'm a big fan of is storry. He is a model of perseverance.

Maybe Glover take him down and submit him, maybe Jiri put him lights out with a kick when Glover try to close the distance. One way or another, I supose this fight wont pass the 2nd round.

I think na will win by armbar. She's had a bunch of wins by armbar & Suarez has lost by armbar a few times. Plus Suarez is 37 she's not going to improve very much.

@mothswords see I can totally see that happening but the problem is literally anytime na fights someone with a pulse she gets mauled. Girls can just easily reverse her position and sub attempts but the question is, can Juarez actually do that? She appears to have no ground game whatsoever but if she avoids the armbar, she will ko na. Na also has about 2 minutes of gas and eats punches with her face which id a bad combo because the one good thing I can say about Juarez is her power.

True they're both terrible so overall I'd stay away from betting on it. TBH this whole card is difficult to predict aside from Kape

Ya there’s a lot of matchups where I can see a clear path to victory, but then the opponent also has clear path to victory lol

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 11 Winners, 4 Perfect, 540 Points   |   Tied for 45th with 7 others

Teixeira vs. Procházka
Jiří Procházka, TKO, R1
God I love Jiri, let's hope he can get past Glover's late career renaissance

Zhang vs. Jędrzejczyk II
Weili Zhang, DEC
If this is even half as good as the first fight, I will be satisfied

Bontorin vs. Kape
Manel Kape, TKO, R2
Fingers crossed former RIZIN champs go 2-0 on this card!

Allen vs. Malkoun
Brendan Allen, SUB, R2
Allen's had a pretty spotty record as of late (not counting that Alvey win cause c'mon) and I'd like to think its cause of his striking deficiencies that got exposed by Sean Strickland and blown wide open by the Action Man Chris Curtis... that being said he's got some great grappling and I'm excited to watch him roll with a **** hot wrestler like Malkoun.

Matthews vs. Fialho
Andre Fialho, TKO, R1
The short notice Andre train keeps rolling!

Edwards vs. Pascual
Joselyne Edwards, DEC
Ramona's got a chin on her, I'll give her that

This can either go 2 ways for me.

Jiri get's Glover early and quick, due to length and range. (Jon Jones style, but with striking) -Or- After that early trouble, Glover endures and "Second Wind Glover" get's a George Foreman style oldman strength enduring W or submission resurrection W.

There is no reason Steve Garcia should lose to Maheshate, yet I can't find myself willing to push the bet button.

Jiri

Can't See Glover doing what he did to Jan here. Think Jiri drops him early 2nd.

Valentina
Sounds like a no brainer but thought Santos was a live dog for a minute and she still is. The upset is always possible which is why we watch, if you knew who was gonna win what would be the fun? It's just that Valentina really is different. I thought Andrade was gonna be the one and she got destroyed, don't see Santos or any other fighter beating her right now.  On the low just wanna see her do her victory dance in the octagon.
We'll see....

Joanna

Need to watch the first fight again, an argument can be made Joanna won, that hematoma on her head will always stand out in everyone's mind. The time off since than benefits her, she looks good and really has nothing to lose. I think we get another war here with Joanna getting the decision.

Yeah idk I remember being a lot more impressed with Maheshate when I first saw him but after rewatching…. Not so much. I mean the fight was very exciting and he showed he’s a dog with great cardio and a great chin. But he was having some bad moments against a pretty terrible fighter. I have 0 clue what to expect from Steve tho. He seems so promising but then I go back to the fights against pena (where he showed 0 fight iq) or ontiveros (where he almost got ko’ed by the worst (imo) fighter to be on the roster in sometime (yes, worse than trashkar)). Then I see his wins over prime Shawn bunch and Ronnie Lawrence and it makes me think he’s good, but then I remember he used to be a weight bully and that’s likely the only reason he beat those guys. Don’t have the slightest clue how he made 135 either but somehow he did lol. I’m still leaning Maheshate but idk

I will say tho,Maheshate is young but I honestly think he has some potential; he’s huge, has great cardio, an insane chin, and a pretty diverse striking arsenal

He only wrestled ontiveros because he was wobbled

I think the Choi-Culibao fight is closer than people think. I actually really like Culibao as the dog here and think he's being a little disrespected.
