I am not impressed with kay Hansen I watched her last fight live and I didn't like it and I watched it back and I still didn't like it was a bad fight and I don't think that she can win this fight I think she should have stayed down at 115 and not have to fight jasmine but I'm most likely going to be wrong but whatever I can dream of kay Hansen getting cut from the ufc

It's crazy to remember how for January 2018 (UFC 220) Dana White and the UFC desperately wanted Ngannou to dethrone Stipe: they gave the champion no publicity, while Dana White always said that Francis hit like a Ford Escort and mentioned all the records of KO Power that Francis had broken at the Performance Institute (in addition to the fact that the vast majority of the panel of journalists said that Miocic had no chance to get through the first round against Ngannou). That day Francis was vastly outclassed, but despite that loss he found a way to get back to the title shot point and greatly improved his strategy in the rematch against Miocic which led to him becoming UFC Champions. Now (Perhaps in a more subtle and much less blatant way than they did against Miocic)

Dana White and the UFC desperately want Francis Ngannou to lose against Ciryl Gane (mostly not because of popularity, but contractual issues). Clearly this industry is not moved by family ties or friendships, this is moved by the ability to generate money. Dana White probably doesn't care if Francis goes to boxing if he loses the championship on Saturday and in a very forceful way against Gane. Dana White is the type of person that even if you seem close (as was the case with Rousey or McGregor) you should only call a situational ally and not a brother or friend (after all, he is the boss and that is a status above anything ).

I'm pretty sure people downvote any breakdown post if said breakdowns result in a pick they haven't made or disagree with.

That is literally how autistic and ******** this community has become.

It's a bit like cancel culture; the best way to combat is to upvote the most politically incorrect and offensive comments made on the site. That, and always upvote high effort posts whether you agree with the ultimate conclusions contained therein or not.

The UFC would much rather Gane be unified heavyweight champion in the hopes he bring MMA more into the French market, which by extension leads further into the African market (grand prize).

It's less about anything to do with Francis and more about the UFC just seeing Gane as a poster boy for a key market.

This was evident the moment he was signed up for an Interim title shot.

EDIT: This reads like a conspiracy tweet but it's just facts. The UFC isn't going to care one way or another who wins, because no matter what they have plans to make money. I do, however, believe that they think their potential plans for Gane as unified champion will make them the MOST money. I'm not sure I can word it more carefully than that.

Exactly. Anyone who has been watching Imavov's fights will understand why the UFC would love a French star.

Gane can be that guy on skill alone. He's not a loud personality but he doesn't have to be. He's just that good. I also think his personality sort of resonates with French people anyway. He has a very unique swagger that only someone as skilled and humble as he is can even develop.

Americans won't be as huge part of top15 rankings in each division as they are right not, unless Dana wants it to be otherwise. The quality of fighters training all over the Europe is going to have bigger impact soon, don't forget Dagestanis, Chechens, Georgians, Mexicans.
