I think Said is very very good bro. Unlike most ppl his spinning attacks are precise and calculated, he has really good footwork and defence and I think he is a very high level striker. And his wrestling and Sambo is very good. Gas tank seems ok too though not sure if the weight cut will affect this. Still as I mentioned I did not think Stamann looked good so I am a little more reassured this will be even coming to cardio. The Barcelos fight, well, it was Barcelos who I think is probably top 3 potential and is a Brazilian national wrestling alum and also a high level BJJ black belt (I've heard his father is a coral belt!)

I think Said is a level above Stamann and I don't really see him losing. Not trying to change your view but just telling you what I think.

Another way to look at is everyone is talking about the Barcelos fight, what would happen if Stamann fought Barcelos? I think it would be a total shut out. Also don't think Stamann has actually beaten anyone good apart from Kelleher.

Well yeah but you can’t compare fighters beating other fighters because styles make fights. It’s irrelevant to being up what would happen if Cody fought barcelos because they aren’t fighting. It doesn’t really matter to me if his sambo is good because he doesn’t use it and yes, barcelos is a phenomenal grappler but Cody is going to wrestle more than barcelos did. Barcelos didn’t even really use his bjj either, he just took him down and layed on top of him, to which said has no answer. Also Cody is a severely underrated wrestler. Taken down merab and Rivera who are both incredibly difficult to take down and also destroyed yadong on the ground. Also has a phenomenal striking defense at 63% so he knows how to dodge punches. Also a training partner of Ngannou so there’s that. I think if Cody is taking down guys like merab and riviera he should be able to get down said and I just don’t trust Said’s ground game. Also everyone thought he lost to scoggins so as far as I’m convinced he’s 2-2 in the ufc wth his best win being Ricardo Ramos

All good points bro, but I still think Said is too much. I think he is better than Rivera and Song Yadong (though maybe not Merab) and Stamann lost to both of them. Like I said don't let me influence you because I could be wrong (we don't have a great sample size in the UFC) but I am locking Said in as one of my fixed parlay legs.

Also I am not someone who puts any importance on "value" betting, maybe because I only bet parlays but I was listening to Gianni the Greek. He makes a very very good point even for me. Moreno was the underdog in his last 6 fights so there was a lot of value on him. He was the underdog for both previous FIggy fights. And now he is a 2:1 favourite because of 1 fight where Figgy was clearly not himself (I am not going to say he was compromised by a weight cut because I have my own ideas as to what was going on in that fight). I think there is a big big over correction of the lines and this could be the last time anyone gets Figgy as an underdog.

Fair enough. Cody has just fought betger competition and aside from being finished by sterling he’s never gotten dominated. All his losses have been pretty close

I think everyone is different bro and everyone has a different body composition so rehydrates differently. Obviously its important not to rehydrate too quickly (as the sodium levels in your body can fluctuate too fast with pure water rehydration) and it has to also be reasonably regular and with adequate mineral replacement as well. The process of repeated dehydration and rehydration that fighters go through to make weight and then rapidly rehydrate to fight day is not a good thing at all. And I have my own personal theory that CTE is more likely to happen in fighters who have big weight cuts being more of a factor than the actual damage from the fight. We know for a fact that rapid rehydration with fluctuation of sodium concentrations in the cells can permanently damage the brain. That's a fact.

So as to how each rehydrates it depends on the person, the team and the processes they use.

One thing I do agree with Clint from the DieHard MMA podcast is that if a fighter brings a bottle to the weigh ins and starts drinking it almost immediately when stepping off the scales, thats not a good sign.

Bro, I ain’t NEVER stepped off the scale and not started drinking within the next minute. “Not a good sign” whoever said that is not a fighter not familiar with weight cutting. Everyone drinks after weighing unless they cut 0 lbs, I.e are a heavyweight.

Rehydrating is nowadays mostly just a soft electrolyte mix to bulk up your depleted ECF, you want a solid chunk of pedialyte and then I drink quarter cut Gatorade for a hot minute. Then I drink water until I piss clear.

But, if you can get an IV then you’re essentially back to 100% in a few hours. Don’t know why they banned IVs, the idea was to discourage weight cutting, but that obviously didn’t happen.

Actually bro I do know what I am talking about. And I am talking about the fighters who get start drinking immediately on the stage before they get off. If you do that all the time then you obviously have bad weight cuts.

The reason they banned IVs btw is that you can rehydrate too fast and cause brain damage.
