Culibao vs Sha

Culibao is pretty underrated IMO. Sure he’s green as **** compared to a lot of the roster, but he’s got a lot of heart and despite being a solid grappler has no problem throwing hands. His fight with Jourdain was hands down the most underrated fight of 2020. If he somehow chokes against another mediocre Chinese prospect the UFC has been cramming out as of late, I will be gravely upset.

Ismagulov vs Alves

Jesus Christ, this is one of the most ****** up matchups I’ve seen in recent memory. I usually consider both fighters’ skills and abilities regardless of how one sided a matchup may seem, but not here. This is career suicide. The only perspective where I could see Alves winning is if he walked into the ring wearing horse shoes, a necklace made of severed rabbit feet, and an eight leaf clover he manually inserted straight into his ass.

Claudio Silva is really high on my ****list, dude is the most inactive fighter in the UFC As Leon Edward had a whole UFC carrar while Claudio only had 3-4 fights in the same timespan and every interview all he does it ***** how he's not as famous as Conor McGregor, and how it the fans and the UFC fault, Same as Ryan Hall saying how everyone ducking him, But only showing up like 3 times in like 6 year, And 2 of them were to Grey Maynard and BJ Penn, Do these fighter expect to be treated well by the UFC, For doing minimal fighting in return,What does the UFC gain from that. Even Conor climb the ladder, so they no exception to that, But that just my 2 cent

@tieoken @Stephin Thank you a lot, I really do enjoy writing them as it fun to do

Spencer vs Dumont

How are these odds legal? I’m assuming the oddsmakers think there’s a chance Dumont stuffs the takedowns and outboxes Spencer. But the only two women to execute that game plan have been Nunes and Cyborg. Both went to a decision and Spencer never backed down. And Dumont is nowhere near that level. I’d even consider Spencer a slight favourite in a pure striking match.
Then again, I lost big on this kind of match-up when Grundy fought Vannata just last week so I’m just gonna watch, unless somebody can explain why Spencer is a 🔒 despite the odds.

Rob Font easily

Predictions: 0 of 0 Winners, 0 Perfect, 0 Points   |   Tied for 3413th

Garbrandt may be more
Athletic, more powerful.
But for a guy who grew up boxing his boxing is terrible. His chin is up especially when he punches.
His hands are chest height.
He rarely throws a strait punch, he doesn’t bet his head off center line as he punches, his elbows too low on his hooks.
Add on that he rarely mixes it up with kicks Etc. Plus his strategy is always the same.
Vs a kickboxer Rob will do takedowns.
He has straighter punches, way better kicks Etc.
He knows to vary his speed and pace which Cody doenst.
Rob will circle and fight passive letting Cody come strait into his punches. He will throw light shots and make Cody think he can take his power and he will then get a strait right KO.
Probably early Rob will do a takedown and hold him down awhile just to get Cody not knowing what’s coming.
Rob isn’t great anywhere but good everywhere and he’s a true mma fighter.
Cody goes to wrestling to boxing like Aaron pico. It’s so obvious.
Yeah he has power and 1 in 4 or so he gets a KO early. But all he has is luck. Font is too smart a fighter

Man, we got a lot of fighters popping onto the boards in recent times. For a while there in 2019 I was like the only blue name to be seen for several events. Maybe it's just selective memory. Feels like tapology is growing slowly lol.

Damn, this is a tough fight to call.

Yan vs. Esparza
Xiaonan Yan, DEC
So is this one!

Hermansson vs. Shahbazyan
Jack Hermansson, SUB, R1
Another tough one to call. I'm looking at the Dala horse on my left (it's a Swedish thing) and picking Hermansson.

Algeo vs. Ramos
Ricardo Ramos, DEC
Picking Ramos because of his greater UFC experience (despite being six years younger) and stronger team.

Rob Font, TKO, R2
I think Cody looks sharp and better than ever in the first round, but Font finds his range and timing in the 2nd and lands a devestating shot that puts Garbrandt out.
