If I was getting the vegas odds here I'm on Reyes but at even money, I went this route. Should be a fun fight.

My concern with Giga is that his striking seems predictable. Left body kick, then a left high kick, he does this over and over in his fights. With his hands he throws that hybrid overhand/hook a lot without much setup. He's usually able set up power strikes because he hasn't faced anyone who has put real pressure on him. Most of his opponents just stand in his range and try to play counter striker with him. Morales was able to slow him down at times just by walking forward, I think Cub will do the same but throw more volume. However Giga has nice leg kicks and could do real damage with them. I don't see a finish from either guy here, and I don't expect much grappling, if any.

I think Cub is definitely a sub threat and if he take Chikadze down. Chikadze's TD defence is 60% - http://ufcstats.com/fighter-details/9560ff14eb3129f7 ....... this is Chikadze's toughest test to date and I see it as a pick'em, but feel that Cub's best days are behind him.

I think it funny  how people think Cub is gonna Khabib him or sub him,  That totally cub fighting style as he submitted 4 people in his career and never got more then 2 takedown in a single fight since the WEC

^This is why I didn't  bet Cub. I just don't think he's going to try and grapple.

Now that 12 of the 17 pages in this thread are about Giga Chikadze, I'll be disappointed if we don't have a disproportionately big reaction to the fight, whichever way it goes. Like, that's got to be the Tapology main event at this point.

Gifted New Predictions

Predictions: 7 of 11 Winners, 4 Perfect, 450 Points   |   Tied for 845th

Strickland vs. Jotko
I select Sean Strickland at -275. He has a casual triangle choke and a lascivious double leg flapjack and also a captivating finger lock. Strickland will likely highlight the opposing forces.

Hughes vs. Lookboonmee
I appoint Loma Lookboonmee at -400. She has a killer harai goshi. Lookboonmee will likely ignite the dark horse.

Sanders vs. Colares
I want Luke Sanders at -145. He has a wondrous spinning back elbow. Sanders should goad the bandit. Believe it!

Cutelaba vs. Jacoby
I appoint Ion Cutelaba at -140. He has a uppity overhand and a fabulous facebuster. Cutelaba will likely quarantine the underdog.

Botelho vs. Carolina
I have got Poliana Botelho at -250. She has a wondrous overhead chop and a villainous double leg. Botelho isn't about to quarantine the previous pitfalls.

Markos vs. Pinheiro
I trust Luana Pinheiro at -175. She has a proficient crossface and a lascivious brainbuster and also a kosher overhead chop. Pinheiro must quiet the previous pitfalls.

Dvalishvili vs. Stamann
I want Merab Dvalishvili at -260. He has a nutty harai goshi. Dvalishvili must ruin the cage.

Swanson vs. Chikadze
I love Giga Chikadze at -170. He has a reliable hammerfist. Chikadze will likely finish the adversary.

Bhullar vs. Michailidis
I adopt Andreas Michailidis at -240. He has a creative mountain bomb. Michailidis can rattle the corner man.

Kamaka III vs. Brown
I believe in Kai Kamaka III at -150. He has a brackish facebuster and a brash mentality. Kamaka III will likely victimize the foe.

Reyes vs. Procházka
I take Jiří Procházka at -135. He has a bodacious stamina. Procházka should ignite the canvas.

I think Strickland is in a really good spot, fighting someone who'll strike with him, but doesn't have the chin or skills to actually hang. If my theory holds true, KB Bhullar will get knocked out and probably won't fight in the UFC again (he was only let in as a late notice replacement last time).

Unfortunately we won't know til the fight, but I feel like 30 seconds into Merab-Cody we'll know how it's gonna go. It's power wrestler vs power wrestler. We might know exactly who's better within the first takedown attempt. Maybe try to live bet it?

I usually really like Merab, but the strength different between grappling John Dodson vs grappling Cody Stamann from one fight to the next must be astronomical.
