Yeah are we giving Chandler a little too much newcomer mystique? Would the UFC even sanction a Hooker vs Benson Henderson fight at this point?

And I like whoever pointed out that Dan Hooker is one the best three round fighters in the game. His close wins become easy wins, and his loss to Poirier becomes a career best performance (with some sloppy brawling in the third and final round; but also if that's the last round and he's up 2-0 he probably fights smarter).

He's got six inches in reach and 80% take down defense, and we've seen how much punishment he can take without folding.

And my favourite thing about Hooker, His timing on takedown and backtakes, Every close round he is in, He does it so the judge slightly favour him. That why Hooker beat Felder and I was suprise not one judge fell for that trick agaist Poirer

Gilbert Burns can't wrestle? Paul Felder can't wrestle? Michael Chandler was looking at trilogy fights with Benson Henderson and Eddie Alvarez before getting signed. He might as well be in a different sport. Like playing basketball in China and talking about being the best player in the NBA. 

Plus he's got big jock at a Christian college trying to campaign for prom king energy, and I just can't abide that.

I personally think Chandler wrestles his way to a 29-28. 1 to get that first UFC win under his belt and secondly to keep his name in title contention. Wrestle heavy attack for a 3 round fight.

Hooker only has a 1" reach advantage according to mmaformguide, but he uses his length whereas chandler doesn't as much.
