The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale Wiki Update Wiki

Initially considered one of the weaker seasons in TUF history, The Ultimate Fighter 8 eventually gave the UFC some of its brightest young prospects, including Light Heavyweight Tournament Champion Ryan Bader and Lightweight Tournament Champion Efrain Escudero, both of whom dominated their competition during the live Finale.

One of the most interesting aspects of Season 8 was the “phenom” tag lightweight finalist Phillipe Nover was granted by the UFC brass heading into his showdown with Escudero, possibly in a last-ditch effort to generate fan interest in the Finale. Unfortunately for Nover, he lost his Finals match and was promptly cut from the UFC after losing his next two fights.
