"Hey, i'm not surprised ************s!"
-

-

- Holly Holm | KO/TKO | Round 2
- 2015 | UFC 193
-

-
6
- McGregor vs. Mendes
- Conor McGregor | KO/TKO | Round 2
- 2015 | UFC 189
-
Conor's crowning moment and the birth of MMA's biggest star ever.
The main event of one of, if not the greatest UFC event ever, certainly one of its most magical nights with the special guest appearances of Sinéad O'Connor and Aaron Lewis performing both men's entrance songs. A first that served as a testament to McGregor's unparalleled effect.
And in the biggest fight of his career up to this point, Conor proved he might be the one after all.
His ability to perform under pressure, his unbreakable confidence, even through adversity after getting taken down at will and mauled on the ground, his heart and will with him getting back up, pushing forward, putting tons of pressure, taunting, talking trash, mentally breaking Mendes before finishing him off in the second round.
It was fascinating, to see him actually back up all of his insane trash talk and show just how much this meant to him.
This marked the perfect ending to an already epic night of fights that saw Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald put on an all-time classic in the co-main event, Jeremy Stephens knock out Bermudez with a brutal knee after a brutal fight, Gunnar win and derail Brandon Thatch's hype train, Thomas Almeida score a jaw-dropping knockout of the year contender on Brad Pickett after a crazy fight, Cody Garbrandt on the prelims as well...
A damn perfect event and one of those examples of the Conor McGregor effect.
