Of course we can talk about mma.

I'll be honest I'm more excited for the prelims then the main card.

And who do you have between Ilir Latifi and Rodrigo Nascimento?

I mean yeah its a bad card and two weeks out, but there's something here right?

I think I've got to go Nascimento, even though I dont think I really rate him much. Latifi has just looked so slow and old. He barely makes it through these lay and pray fights able to give an interview he's breathing so heavy. And basically sounded like he was retiring last time out. Fighting a younger, bigger guy with decent grappling.

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 1 Perfect, 425 Points   |   Tied for 2854th

Dern vs. Hill
Angela Hill, DEC
same thought process as before, i think she'll survive on the ground and pick up a decision based on her striking

Shahbazyan vs. Hernandez
Anthony Hernandez
tough fight for edmen, he finally got a win just to fight fluffy, who is a pace maker, and has been looking good for a middleweight

Ducote vs. Godinez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
womens fight, hard to pick since godinez can have low fight iq and end up losing, this pick has no basis, just from what i've seen from both ladies

Fialho vs. Buckley
Andre Fialho, TKO
this is such a coin toss for me, both a glass cannons, but buckley cutting to 170 after fight for middleweight for years does not give me a lot of hope for me, especially coming of a KO loss, still andre hasn't looked any better, basically a coin toss

Johnson vs. Ferreira
Diego Ferreira
their both old, but diego has been fighting at a lot of higher skilled opponents and i consider his skill level to be a outside of the rankings fighter, while i believe the only reason why johnson won his last fight was because marc threw it for himself

Maheshate vs. Borshchev
Maheshate
i think the younger fighter will have the most improvements, and maheshate will be able to take advantage of borshchev lack of grappling and mix in his own striking to pick up a win

Kowalkiewicz vs. Demopoulos
Karolina Kowalkiewicz, TKO
a female KO is rare, but i don't rate demopoulos grappling very high since her competition that she has been facing has been quite **** for the 115 division, while karolina has had a bounce back and she'll take that into this fight

Cosce vs. Urbina
Gilbert Urbina, DEC
urbina had a bad showing over a year ago, while orion did win, against somebody who shoudln't even be fighting mma, and looked terrible in that fight, i think urbina loss will favor him a lot more than be rewarded for an awful performance

Latifi vs. Nascimento
Rodrigo Nascimento
not good to see a guy come out of retirement just after announcing it, plus ilir comes into every fight very injured, and it will affect him in this fight

Hooper vs. Fiore
Nick Fiore
i think a move up to lightweight for hooper is a good choice, i just feel he should have taken much longer to fill out his body and be stronger in that division, and i think the average fighter with lightweight strength will do bad things to him

Leonardo vs. Silva
Natália Silva
silva has looked good, thats all

Sato vs. Gorimbo
Themba Gorimbo
sato isn't old but his lack of activity is not a good thing to have at that age, i know he was knocked out in his last fight, but i don't think facing another striker will do him any favors

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 530 Points   |   Tied for 1677th

Cosce vs. Urbina
Orion Cosce, DEC
It’s so hard to say with this one. Neither guy is impressive skill set wise and both have the cardio that makes you wonder how they got into the ufc. I’m just hoping this pick works out

Latifi vs. Nascimento
Rodrigo Nascimento, DEC
Nascimento is just better, younger, faster and far more powerful. That combined with his size will absolutely be enough to beat Latifi whom I have a feeling will retire after this one

Hooper vs. Fiore
Nick Fiore, DEC
I’ve stopped believing in Chase at this point. Fiore is very unproven and has no notable wins but he’s got a good ground game which means if he stays away from Chase and picks him apart he should be good

Leonardo vs. Silva
Natália Silva, TKO, R2
This is some lite work for Silva. She’s one of the brightest prospects in wmma atm while Leonardo is just bad. Nothing special about her skill wise and especially durability wise

Sato vs. Gorimbo
Takashi Sato, TKO, R1
Idek here. It’s just a battle of who ****s the bed less

I don't think the Teller should be banned. He's a ********* with uninteresting and fairly obvious takes, but he doesn't do anything egregious, and people throwing **** on him is a wellspring of personal entertainment for me at least.

@foppa420  Chase Hooper blows chunks. I'll be surprised if young Art Garfunkel is able to leave the cage not separated from hiS consciousness TBH.

I think Hooper has a very good shot at winning. He's just much more experienced and its against really good competition. I think what Chase Hooper has done so far at 23 years old is crazy impressive. I'm actually very curious to see how he does without cutting much if any weight.

Fiore clearly has tons of skill, but is just very green when it comes to MMA. I have to admit he had a stellar debut given the circumstance, but I'll probably wait for the scales before making my pick. I want to see what Hooper looks like at 155.

Shahbazyan vs. Hernandez
Edmen Shahbazyan, TKO, R2
IGNORE PROPS. Hernandez is a good grappler; however, there is a path to victory for Shahbazyan if the fight stays standing and utilizes a striking/TDD gameplan. Despite his losses, he is durable. Assuming mprovements have been made from the team switch (Dewey Cooper/Xtreme couture), and his KO ability, see value and going with the dog at 3.0.

Been away so did not reply. I agree with CDF over Johnson.

Seriously, has everyone forgotten how elite this guy is? Like absolutely top class. Sure he lost to Gamrot because of a broken rib but Johnson almost got KOd by Mullarkey.

I like Mullarkey, but cmon are you guys saying he is Gamrot level? Who has Johnson beaten? Some average wins which he nearly lost and he is now a world beater?

He lost to Thiago Moises, and CDF has striking and BJJ head and heels above Moises.

Trap line of the week. Michael Johnson.

Let me refresh your short memories

Michael Johnson - since 2018
Wins     - Mark Diakiese, Alan Patrick, Artem Lobov, Andre Fili
Losses - Jamie Mullarkey, Clay Guida, Thiago Moises, Stevie Ray

CDF - since 2018
Wins     - Anthony Pettis, Taisumov, Rustam Khabhilov, Kyle Nelson, Jared Gordon
Losses - Matauesz Gamrot, Gregor Guillespie, Beniel Dariush

Who do you like? I know who I like.

Problem is people on here are listening to some misleading "experts" on betting shows and just parroting the same thing, that Johnson is some kind of amazing dog pick because he has good takedown defence. Against whom though? False narrative of the week.

@rah the fact that cdf was having competitve grapple fests with the number 4 contender, a 4x d1 all american (and 2007 d1 champ), and a multi time adcc submission grappling winnner all at the ripe age of 37, is so impressive to me. He fights so much better than his record looks. I think he’s got Johnson covered everywhere. I guess my main issue is the motivation and weight cut (he’s a huge 155er) but I think he should be fine. He seemed devastated when he lost against gamrot so that at least shows me he still cares about the game. He’s never shown any chin issues & is a pretty competent striker himself. And then obviously has the massive grappling advantage. Should be a good spot for him to bounce back

Also what no one talks about is yhe Guillespie fight was on short notice. Sure he has taken a long time off but after a broken rib that can only be a good thing.

Johnson has never been top tier in my opinion. But CFD always has.
