I guiess it sounds strange coming from a gambler that it would be a gamble betting but I'm very structured in how I bet if that makes any sense. All the mismatches and unreliable fighters on this card has me cautious.

I know some people here treat value betting like some atheists treat religion, with complete scorn and contempt.
But if I were to bet on this fight it sure as hell wouldn't be on Petr Yan even though, once again, I think he is favored to win.

Yan is in a "must win" situation, although no one is cutting Yan if he lost a 3rd straight. This fight is juicy, with a decent back story and a rivalry that extends past teammates...this is Russia vs. the Causcasus. People sleeping on Dvalishvili's control game. Merab has never been knocked out, and Yan isn't subbing him.
Spann over Krylov, finish (I picked KO/TKO, but a sub is DEF in play too) rd 1
Fighting at catchweight, 2 weeks after Krylov got food poisoning...so he spent at least a week recovering from that, maybe even still feeling residuals. Three rounds instead of five, so that Rd 1 finish comes in play (5 rd 1 losses for Krylov, 4 rd 1 losses for Spann)(19 1rd finishes for Krylov, 14 1st rd finishes for Spann).
Martinez over Nurmagomedov, decision
Just because your last name is Nurmagomedov doesn't make you the GOAT. Name recognition is a thing, and Said has been riding it for a while. Said lost to Raoni Barcelos (who went 2-3 after beating Said), then beat up on a bunch of cans, has-beens and no names. Martinez seems to be getting stronger as his career progresses. Stylistically they are very similar. I dont see Nurmagomedov getting the stoppage against Martinez. We'll see if 2023 is Martinez' year.

2 things worry me though, I think Martinez has really good hands in the boxing range and Said has somewhat sus cardio
That said he has a huge grappling advantage and probably manages the range well enough to avoid most of Martinezs kicks.
We shouldn't forget that just a few fights ago everyone was calling Martinez a bum and thinking he was likely to get cut. Now all of a sudden he is the best striker in the division.
Fight will be close but Said wins I feel
