I'm with you guys on Marcos v Oliveira. That's the biggest surprise for me when it comes to this cards reactions from the tap community.

That always adds excitement when there is such an agreement by and large and you just don't see why everyone thinks a fighter is special, in this case Marcos.

I mean Ayy knows more about prospects than me so I will go with his gut here but I would not bet much on it.
Very common for NEWBs, Regionals Prospects to look **** or different in UFC than in other places.
Look at Ben ASSBURN how did he hold titles anywhere he got gifted a fake sub got handled every other time.
And he was supposedly the best in the world God that ignorance will never get old, yes I called that ****.

Tbf in the case of askren he was mid 30s when the ufc signed him, 2 years away from the sport, and had bum knees. He was a shell of himself when the ufc signed him

you don't know what you're talking about, ben askren was as legit as they come

no one claimed his striking was ufc level but his wrestling and grappling are all time great

he literally was retired for almost 2 years, got off the couch to fight robbie lawler and beat him after such a big layoff (that was before robbie was washed as well)

the jorge fight was simply luck on jorge's part, they can fight 1000 more times and jorge won't be able to replicate that knee exactly the way it happened and then the rest of his career was a meme with him basically being half retired and not interested in fighting

ben askren in his prime would have been a top 5 contender in the ufc at the very least

I expected more people on Tap and betting wise to be taking Hill.  i wonder if that line moves closer to fight time.

paulopasta I got Marcos to win as well. Oliveira is a wild striker and in the clinch he tends to gamble on his guillotine. Marcos is more of a methodical striker and I think that plays in his favor against Oliveira. At least, that's what I think. This is just a very tricky fight to predict in my opinion. And to be honest, I think that goes for a lot of these fights on this card. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some upsets.

Teixeira vs. Hill
Jamahal Hill, TKO, R2
This is the toughest main event for me to choose on in a while. Legit can go either way, I think it all boils down to if Hill really improved his wrestling and TDD, it seems that was the whole focus this training camp being that he can do work on the feet. I’m gonna bank on Hill being prepared for the wrestling and getting a TKO

We all know what Glover is gonna do, Glover will be his traditional self. Hill on the other hand is evolving and hungry for improvement. I feel like if you pick Glover you’re just hoping the wrestling plays out well, that’s just too risky for me to depend on at this point in his career. Jiri seemed to not give af about being taken down in their fight, he was just loose and almost defenseless, Hill is a more calculated and defensive fighter than Jiri imo and I think that’s what the determining factor will be here

Predictions: 12 of 15 Winners, 2 Perfect, 710 Points   |   Tied for 1363rd

Teixeira vs. Hill
Jamahal Hill, TKO, R2
Nothing but respect to Glover. I know he has more weapons in his arsenal. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if he wins tonight but I’m riding with Hill by knock out

Figueiredo vs. Moreno IV
Brandon Moreno, DEC
Shouldn’t even be in a 4th fight. Moreno has been robbed so many times fighting this dude. Look for him to put a stamp on it tonight. The ufc obviously wants DF to be champion. Moreno is much more marketable

Burns vs. Magny
Neil Magny, DEC
Call me crazy but I think a lot of people are sleeping on Magny in this fight. I’m even picking him to win.

Andrade vs. Murphy
Jéssica Andrade, TKO, R2
Much respect to Lauren Murphy. I don’t think she’ll be able to handle the power of Andrade though

Craig vs. Walker
Johnny Walker, TKO, R2
I feel like if Johnny can keep himself from getting submitted he can win this fight. Only time will tell

Rua vs. Potieria
Ihor Potieria, TKO, R2
Goodbye to the og. Another legend going out on their back

Rodrigues vs. Ferreira
Gregory Rodrigues, TKO, R2
Rodrigues has been a dog lately. He takes a lot of damage. This is going to be a scrap. I still think he gets it done within 2 rounds

Almeida vs. Abdurakhimov
Jailton Almeida, SUB, R2
Do we really need to pick in this fight? Almeida gets the finish inside 10

I couldn't find a single video on YT (my go to for regional fighters) on Luan Lacerda. Where are yall finding the tape on this guy? Fightpass? You'd think there was some YT videos with him having fought at Shooto Brazil LFA etc. They are big regional leagues.

Did we all decide Terrence McKinney will forever be a rd 1 or bust fighter because he finished all his opponents early or lost? Is it impossible for him at his young age to develop a normal gas tank (or get the chance to show that he has one, how much data do we really have on it?) and have a fight go to a decision? Him to win by decision is +1700. Is that really an accurate line lol?

Ive made 6 max bets. I usually avoid single bets but this card is so good I couldn't help myself with my surpluses from last year.

1. Marcos
2. Lazzez
3. Moises ITD
4. Walker ITD
5. Figgy
6. Glover ITD

If even one hits Ive done ok. Got so many parlays on this card my bank account is smoking....

I saw the highlight video. I guess this will have to be one of those sit back and just watch fights. Sucks to be picking Stamann blindly though simply for being the favorite since people say Lacerda is good and a potential upset, but I have no data to go on and I always pick all of the fights on a card so not much I can do about it then.
